I agree, I think the subs today actually made us worse, Trippier didn't have the confidence on his left foot to push on and Son was the only one making them turn towards their own goal.

Should haves:
We had chances, but didn't get the balance right between attack and defence. Effectively 4 CBs on the pitch and we lacked a little guile in midfield. Dier needed to attack more from the beginning. But not a terrible performance. Missed one goal.
- A pen for a trip on Aurier
- A headed goal from Alli, almost an assist from Llorente
- Less defensive players on the pitch. Game like this, Dier is a passenger, until he made runs after about 75.
- Used the flanks better. Didn't work the ball to the side of the box enough - from where we could put the ball across the goal or pick out a man.
- Crossed the ball better. Almost every cross was weak and short.
- Used our set pieces better.

Agree. That killed the balance of the team. Trippier kept passing the ball back. I dont think he even tries to beat the defender when he plays on the right either!! The experiment should be over.

Playing 3 CB and a holding DM against a team with one up and no real attacking defence is a no no.
We had CBs joining in the attack instead of forwards.
Should have tried something different today - even if it was 442
All means start like we did, but we should have changed it at HT

I agree. Swans did have 2 upfront incidentally. Would have liked to have seen someone like Edwards in a game like this. Fresh, get the ball to his feet around the box...

Sissoko had a decent game first half, then moved him to RWB which was stupid move. To compound that he put Trippier left wing back. No need to play players out of position, if you wanted to add fresh impetus on the wings then fine - bring on Aurier and Davies. Shouldn't of taken off Son who looked our livliest forward player. Poor performance from Poch for me....
