Partly agreed, but not just him. One if the other things that's inhibiting our press is the full-backs being unsure what to do, imo - do they push up to support the press in midfield, or do they stay deep to mark the wingers? They're doing neither - just sitting in no man's land next to the center-backs, too deep to press, too narrow to mark the wingers.

And so our press is short two men, we're short two passing options in midfield. So our wingers press with no one behind them, and Soton are just crossing at will from the flanks.

I blame Davies for that - his lack of pace leads to his positioning. But it's ineffectual, and it's hurting.
