Have to agree there, that was a penalty but, as we all know, getting a penalty against Real Madrid is rarer than rocking horse brick.
 
ohhh, in and around their box, we have them on the ropes.

Great half, we are set up very well and playing as we know the lads can. It's our time, time to show our QUALITY.

Gonna be a long second half, methinks - a goal or two to settle us down, madrid look out of sync; we need full focus in the middle and at the back.
 
If this is the best team in Europe we're playing here, there's no reason why we can't win the tournament

and the ref was right there - obviously he got a different, has a different interpretation
 
It's a penalty. I don't care if he took the ball you can't come straight through the back of a player like that..... Oh I say.
 
1-0 and fully deserved - they've had a couple half chances, but we've looked more dangerous. Just need to keep the ball a bit better rather than giving it back to them quickly as we have at times

Shame about Toby - I said after the summer window that we were one senior CB short, and the lack of cover now with one CB injured shows that. Hopefully the fact that he walked off means that he might only miss the Palace game
 
We missed Trippier at manyoo, Poch kept him out with an eye on this game.

If no Kane, Trips to Llorente surely, all game long

well we did get sanchez and foyth, though at this point foyth still needs time and to build up confidence
 
Very good half except when
Kane... through on goal with one defender crapping his pants... tries a chip straight at the keeper
Winks... the ball runs across the box... all he has to do is strike it home... air shot. Chases it and... chips it to the keeper

It was SOOOOO nice of the keeper to not dive when Trips crossed to Alli. I would be feckin livid if I was a Madridista
 
So its all about Madrid not bothering because its only a group game and nothing to do with the way we are set up and pressing?
