***OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Queens Park Rangers, Sun 24th Aug 2014 ***

Looking forward to watching the goals later. Glad to hear Chadli is starting to show what he is capable of - looked a great talent at Twente.

Good, solid win. Dier the pick of the bunch again: at total ease at right-back, and capped off a fine performance with a goal. QPR were woeful defensively, and we did slack off for the final twenty minutes, but a morale-boosting win nonetheless. Chadli's performance in the Jay Rodriguez-esque inside forward role is worthy of mention, and Ade had a fine game.

All in all, good win lads. Good start, well done.

Sounds like Rose had a very good game as well? Nothing like a bit of competition to get the best out of players. Who knew.

We tired last 15, and passing went adrift too often. Also more back passes which allowed them a bit of forward motion.

Still, we won both halves - which happens all too rarely.

It was QPR

They were set up a bit strangely

We were at home.

The table doesn't lie (to quote Tim)

Gullit to rubbish Lamela again?

QPR were cannon fodder but at least we played well racked up a decent goal haul to give the players a confidence boost ahead of the real litmus test next week. COYS

@WhoScored: QPR: Have failed to win a match in the Premier League since March 2013 (vs Sunderland) losing each of their last 5 #qpr

QPR that bad they've dropped out of the league

Made quite a few intelligent runs, and played the right pass when on the breakaway for Ade's goal. Was composed at the back as well. A good game from him. I agree, the competition seems to have spurred him on, which is a very pleasing thing to see.

Im not going to get carried away but it was a very good performance against a ****e QPR side also suffice to say it was pleasing that not only was it entertaining but much more entertaining the the guy shall not be named (the charlatan before Timmy boy)

Still worried defensively against the better attaking teams but we will win the league

I Liked AVB but agree that the we did appear to lose the 'fun' factor under his stewardship. It's amazing how much football supporters are prepared to tolerate and forgive so long as they are actually entertained by what they see.

For once, it's a shame I am no longer a degenerate gambler.

Its not just fans its players. Ive always maintained that you got to let the players play with a bit of freedom and its definitely evident from Poch's few games
