** OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v palace - **

A game of one and a half half. Good for Son, saw signs in the first half where he at least tried to do stuff he does when on form. Hopefully this is a turning point for him as a confidence player, as this game was so set out to be.

MoM Bryan Gil, involved in every goal with an assist and 2 hockey assists. Poor first half overall, but who hadn't. Note to Conte: it's a lot easier to win games when you score first.

And it feels good to say that Oliver had a good game, not like some of the attention-seeking individuals who has (dis)graced the pitch so many times. Didn't get any important decisions wrong, not that there were many but still, credit where credit's due.
 
well didnt see that coming from the first half. That said, same tactics/same players but a bit of confidence after going ahead and suddenly it clicks. Hopefully we can stop bemoaning tactics/Conte and realise its as much down to the players confidence themselves then anything else.
 
Well what do you know. Playing the youngsters and we looked decent. The performance wasn't a 4-0 one, but still deserved winners. So yeah, I'm not buying that not getting exactly the players Conte wants is the only way to get results. Now coach them well so we smash the Arse in a couple of weekends.
 
Its a funny old game, wouldn't have batted any eye if this result and the villa one was switched round, but after the villa showing wouldn't never have expected that result tonight.
 
Scrap the first half.
Second half - 2 more for Kane, and he was so much more like the hungry Kane we are used to. Son finally scores. Well played Gil. Sarr looks very good. Short cameo from White he looked a confident player. Good to see Skipp getting a start. Clean sheet for Hugo and the defence.
Still took too long to get going properly but after Villa the win - and the scoreline - is a real shot in the arm.
Now let's not get knocked out of the cup on Saturday and let's go into the NLD firing on all cylinders.

Sarr looks like he's ready. Maybe not against the top 4, but against any team in the lower half he looks like he can easily hold his own. I also liked White's cameo. That kid has a peach of a left foot.

Oliver always seems to have control. So many prem refs currently are fudging scared

I liked that he played it safe, and didn't risk overimpressing and ruining his career before it has started. Smart.
