OMT ** Tottenham Hotspur v Man United ** 16/2/25 - KO at 4.30pm.

If we had a striker and a confident midfield creating regular chances i'd be so confident...alas...

The Tel narrative could be quite key as well, here's hoping he's very motivated to stick one on 'em...
Oohhh, I have a cool idea - play Tel as a striker instead of Son!!!

Massive weekend in the making if we shape ourselves

Leicester playing Arsenal
Ipswich at Villa Park
Wolves at Anfield

Get 3 pts v United and we could potentially be 13pts clear of the drop zone, 13 to go. And that should be any talk of relegation banished, and start looking upwards

That is my thinking as well. I think Udogie and Maddison will start on the bench anyway. The only returning player that might start will be Vic in goal.

Spence is the first name on the team sheet right now, won’t always be like that but right now he’s our most in form player.
Agree. I think because Spence is in form, Spence will start LB and we wont rush Udogie back straight away. I appreciate Porro could do with a rest, but having had a week between games and Udogie only just returning I doubt this will be the game for it. Perhaps Udogie coming on for the last 15/20 in place of Porro might be more likely....

knowing the injury news now I think I’d start something like
Vic
Porro Danso Davies Spence
Bossouma Bentancur
Bergvall
Kulusevski Tel Son

Bench would then have
Kinsky, Udogie, Gray, Sarr, Scarlett, Maddison, Regulion, Moore, Ajayi

Actually have options to bring on!

I think something like that is quite likely. Outfield players returning from injuries most likely on the bench to come on rather than risk them from the start. Depending on when and how they've looked when returning. May see Kinsky start too and give Vic another week too.

Expecting a better performance with a midweek off, hopefully some more actual options on the bench. Not expecting free flowing full power mode Ange ball from our best games under him. But a more cohesive and energetic performance would be my expectation.

Need some of our bigger names to step up and take responsibility.

Could play Udogie for 45 mins, and Porro the rest

Spence full 90 switching from RB to lb at HT.

It's a good team selection (I think). Doesn't over expose the returnees too quickly. Ange has the Davies vs Gray decision and whether Sarr warrants a start over one of the other 3 midfielders.

I still think we might see our manager only consider half the subs though. I think he will legitimately only use a couple of the returnees if the match situation forces him. I can understand that wariness. It will also be interesting to see whether he will use Scarlett in the same circumstances that he would happily use Richi. I hope he does.

I'm hoping this is the game where Tel announces himself. Great start with a consolation goal, but I'm thinking there is more to come.

"Ange, how do you reflect on losing and shipping another four goals?"

"Well mate, it's tough, you know. It's not how we want to play. What can I tell ya mate. The players are a bit rusty, they haven't played for a week"

My thought process with Davies over Gray is we can have Sarr and Gray on the bench to freshen up the midfield in the 2nd half. Maddison could also be used there, but with us being a bit light in the final 3rd he might be used in the wide left position as a sub.
