Sure, it'd be great to have someone to sit in front of the defence, but when has that ever worked for us? We have played Sandro against the big teams and he doesn't sit, so why expect it to happen today?

Sure they are most likely to overrun our midfield, we just have to hope nothing comes off and we take our chances because we will get some.

I just hope we see more second half performance against Southampton than first. We sat deeper and pressed more in the middle (Mainly because Siggy wasn't being as lazy as Dembele).

Our away form is very good, here is hoping.. Praying.

Defence and goalkeeper is as good as it can be. Bentaleb doesn't really deserve to be dropped, has heart desire and good work rate. Sigurdsson will need to work hard but he's playing in his best position now, just hope they get support in the middle.

Only negative in the side is Lennon, but not really sure what we could have done with Lamela out.. Perhaps an unfit Dembele.

Agree with the Lennon comment.why - just why? We will be playing with a passenger again!

Ade cant be fit as not on bench and I also suspect Sandro and Dembele arent 100 % either. On current form Solly, Sigi, Bentelab, Eriksen and Chadli all deserve a start.

Just seen the line up jesus Tim really doesnt want this job does he? Sig & Bentaleb in midfield against this lot? Chuck away the lube we wont need it for this bumming!
 
The exclusion of Sandro and Dembele suggests that we're looking to keep the ball moving quickly. Its not a bad team on paper but it's one , that I'd have wanted to have first seen tried out against a lesser opponent.

I think he's expecting us to miraculously turn into some slick passing outfit. We have seen time and again that whatever it is he tells them on the training pitch simply doesn't enter their brains.
 
Lennon undroppable it seems. but spose we dont have a raft of options.

I knew Rodgers would have Sterling against us....We can only match that pace with Aaron I guess.

Could be right about moving ball quickly. Sandro and Dembele both take an age on the ball, not that it's bad, usually with Dembele it's good that he can keep possession. It's quite embarrassing that Bentaleb I'd the best in our team at keeping the ball moving quickly and accurately.

Lennon played at home, Didn't really help as Sterling ripped us apart that day, doesn't help they're on different flanks.
