Well we're only 3 points from Gooner fans; plus we can always ask them what the recent score was between Stoke and Swansea if we have to...

Atm only City and Chelski fans can gloat with no return....

But let's be honest wit your abominable OMT a glorious avatar like yours was inevitable. Great work mods; a REAL orc as well

Only caught the MotD2 'highlights', Kaboul and Fazio were the standout players and not in a good sense.

One thing that didn't get a mention as far as I remember regarding the first goal, wasn't Diouf offside? Not only was he directly in front of Lloris went the shot flew in but it actually deflected off him. Before that, how did Kane not manage to score from Chadli's cross?

It was clearly offside the first goal, and that was probably a game changer. I think we'd have got a draw had it been rightly chalked off. How important that glaring error by the officials will be in terms of the whole season, hard to know.

...even the second could well be but probably just the angle.

Their first goal did take a slight deflection but it was almost impossible to spot in real time and I don't recall any of Spurs players even making an appeal to the referee.

Their 2nd was an easy tap in for Walters due to the gaping hole that Kaboul left in the centre of the defence when he went charging up the pitch in the vain hope that Kane would beat Shawcross in an air to Rose' hoof.

Such fine margins and we're not having much luck in the league of late... can only imagine how different the atmosphere in the ground and thus the players' performances might've been if Kane hadn't missed an open goal from 3 yards just before Stoke' opener #-o

EDIT: Judging by the replay, Kane' header might just have crept into the far corner but he still should've scored with 3/4 of the goal to aim for

I'm sorry but you must have been watching a different game as for all the fine margins talk, that's always the case in PL football. Watching the game, Stoke outclassed us beginning to end. They were stronger, hungrier, technically better, their players were better and more confident on the ball, made more intelligent runs, were better organised, they were just a much better team than us in every area.

I think the point is if Kane scores the whole set up of the game is different. We have our tails up, Stoke are chasing the game and it could very well have panned out differently. As it was we were completely outclassed by Stoke. My word, that's depressing.

This.

Our players are lacking in confidence so the last thing they needed was to go behind early giving the "ENIC Out" mob even more opportunity to poison the atmosphere at WHL.

If Kane had managed to get his header on target (well anywhere within the half of the goal that he had at his mercy) then we take an early lead, the Lane is buzzing and the players don't have to worry about being jeered if they make a mistake.

Hopefully we can turn the corner soon, just as Saudi Sportswashing Machine have done despite a similarly toxic atmosphere pervading their support not long ago.

Watching that first goal, you have to wonder what position Capoue thinks he is playing? Someone on here called him a cheat, a charlatan, and ok I admit I'm probably after a spacegoat, but he was clueless on Sunday.
