And it would have worked if not for a handful of individual mistakes.

We didn't look lost for the majority of the game, we looked better than a far more expensive and experienced side.

Yes they will, they're still talking our defeat 20 odd fudging years ago. They've trotted out every negative stat about they could find.
 
Played really well, apart from conceding the first 3 goals, which we might have defended better normally. At 2-2 and maybe before we were nervous. We had them on the ropes at times, but all credit to those clams they defended well. Luis was blocking almost everything. Shame Dele didn't break his ankle!
 
So in summary:

Poch gambled with Son at wing back
Conte gambled with his stars on the bench

For their first goal, Dier let Pedro run through, then Toby had to cut him down. Lloris gave them the goal by jumping right.
For their second goal Son gave them a penalty and Lloris dived out the way.
For their third and fourth goals Hazard and Matic were allowed free reign to go and score.

yep

but don't we say the same after every big game, there are always individual mistakes

we did look better, but we didn't trouble Courtois enough, 8 attempts from over an hour of possession

we've scored a lot of goals this season, but against top defences we still seem a little blunt
