Great result. Really worried about having to play 4 games in 15 days. Will be interesting to see how we rotate the squad during this period.

I think Poch will make minimal changes. I certainly wouldn’t change the back four, unless Aurier regains fitness. There’s only 3 league games left now, just play the strongest side in every game and hopefully we can rest a few against Everton when we have the top 4 guaranteed. We have to show intent and intensity in the remaining games, that means not resting anyone IMO.

Hard to evaluate games like tonight... were we at fault for not doing enough to break them down or did Brighton just put in a stellar backs-to-the-wall defensive display? Hard to create openings against teams which set up to defend their penalty area like they did tonight but we kept going till the end trying to find a way through and didn't lose our heads or patience in doing so

This.
We played with the guile of Thomas Gravesen, the wit of Ray Parlour and the dexterity of Jon Moss*.

Fanny about... chip it at DunkDuffy.

Get the centre back to skwlice it into row Z.

Thank GHod Eriksen has that talent. Without him, Poch would have Son wide on the left, Moura wide on the right, Trippier chipping s-l-o-w balls at Llorente...

Jeez I thought Spurs were better than this. I thought we had learnt a lesson in the last 5 years, how to play against a DEEP team???

Don't know what it looked like on tv but they looked like they knew that they couldn't match us for 90 and were looking to waste time at ever opportunity. The ref turned a blind eye to their keeper taking over 2 minutes everytime he needed to kick the ball out.

They just parked the bus hoping to hit is on the break and sit deep.

Overall I think it was a solid display.

Overall I s'pose this ^^^^^ but to be fair they couldn't have played deeper if they'd lined up between their posts. A frustrating night but we got there in the end.

Big shout for Mr Rose, he seems to have been smoking what Sissoko has, put in a proper shift tonight

I don’t get Brightons approach.

We have lost 11 games in the league, so we can be got at, plus injuries.

Absolutely zero want to attack and even attempt to trouble us.

I hope they go down.

If they had come out we would have torn them apart, they knew that.

To give them credit, they were amazingly disciplined and put out huge energy levels to stay in the game as long as they did.

They made us shoot from distance, thankfully we have players who can hurt you from range.

I always find it weird when people say we were "terrible" in games like last night. When a side plays basically outside their own penalty box in two compressed lines, it is pretty fudging hard to get through them. I'd say baggings on Llorente is unfair. Obviously he has no place starting a match like this, but it isn't his fault he's picked. The key moment came because we showed enough patience to continually work the ball to players who can produce magic when magic is needed. If we'd played the first-half like that we'd have won by a few. These are the sort of games we did not used to win.
