*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Brighton & Hove Albion FC ***

At least Johnson can put the ball in the net. IMHO Tel and Odobert are championship level players. I just cant see what everyone sees in them. As with all players who wear the shirt I hope they come good but so far I just cant see it
In a word - pace. That as a basis is a good framework to build on. If the other aspects can be coached then you’ll have a good player on your hands. But for the prem, on the wing, if you’ve not got pace you are never going to make it.

Personally I see the makings of good players in Tel and Odobert, but at the minutes it is very fleeting

Where's the will and fight to get to the Top?
Top 4 even...same old same old..see if I can ji nx myself and this club will start miraculously start to become a football club with a backbone..lol..sorry to be so negative yet again. BTW 23 fudging post,s where's everyone gone...

Fighting back from 2-0 down, away against a good opponent, doesn't show backbone??

I don’t think richarlison is strong enough at times. He’s a big guy. He should be more of a physical presence than he is at times. He got bullied by Bournemouth and barely won a header or a tackle and he kept losing the ball.

Yet he scored, remained engaged in the tussles til the end and was part of what arguably was one of our best performances of the season. He is not the most 'finessed' player, but I disagree with your read of it. I think he rareley gets even 20% of the fouls given to some other players because he is in that select band of 'reputation without much reason' footballers who just don't get many calls.

For their goal; Richie was falling back with his butt about 2ft from the floor, when the Brighton defender nudged into his back which happens with EVERY ball up the pitch.
It hurt Richie because it was "knee to coccyx" but that's because Richie was so near the floor. He needs to man up and bully the defence.

That is a foul.

Didn't look like a trip on replay but definitely a push.

This. That useless fudging lump turned and shoved Xavi with one hand to the floor. That isn't a shoulder to shoulder, it's a hand to shoulder, and that is a penalty. All this 'it would've been soft' bollox, no it wouldn't, it was a fudging foul so give the fudging penalty!

Missed the game but it sounds like we gave a better account of ourselves than v Bournemouth?

To be fair, it was overall a dominant performance which shows that we are still finding our 'clicks' and synergy, discovering what rotations we can and cannot make, and that we still need to not be dozy even when dominating a game. The ref was fudging awful BTW...excellent spirit and togetherness.

He doesn't have any knee problems.
Maybe he does, maybe he doesn't.

"Brentford did not buy Antonio Nusa because a medical revealed issues with his knees and back, which led the club to pull out of the deal in January 2024. Despite Brentford agreeing to terms for the club-record transfer, the medical findings caused the deal to collapse. Nusa subsequently joined RB Leipzig, where they found no issues with his fitness, allowing the deal to be completed."

@billyiddo I'd also emphasize that overall, it was another game where Frank is really learning about the blends available to himn within the squad. He played Bergy as a 10 before Xavi came on, which was both brave and liberating. The results were mixed as Bergy had a topsy turvy game AND also gained the sort of experience there which will ensure he can really nail it when he turns 20 or 21 LOL...I felt Udogie's performance was excellent, it gave Odobert plenty of chances to shine yet that didn't quite happen. Again, you can see the work in progress ;-)...
