*** OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Borussia Dortmund ***

67k looks poor in that stadium but it's still a big number. Don't forget also, general sale was restricted.

Saying that a good 10% of that number must have come from Dortmund. We were directly above them and though a mate got peed off with their drummers I could not help but be impressed as well as a little envious the way they out-noised us most of the game. Watching them collectively jumping in unison also added greatly to the spectacle.

Thought they get 3000 same as all sides

I was sat in SW corner of Club Wembley and couldn't help but be impressed with their sheer energy, even when they went 3-1 down.

Even after 3 matches sat in the same seat it still feels like a strange place, doesn't help that the 4 seats to my right have been empty for every game so far o_O The 2 rows in front of me were almost completely deserted tonight too, which made for a good view but not conducive to a raucous atmosphere.

I'm in the SW corner of Club Wembley too and have found the same, a number of seats to my left in my row and there are a larger number of (the same) seats have remained empty in the first couple of rows.

What a great evening! Dortmund looked a really good side and outpressed us in a big way in the first half. Couldn't believe we were 2-1 up at half time and couldn't see us winning the match at that time. But Poch is consistently now showing what a great manager he is and just tweaked it slightly in the 2nd half with the wing backs encouraged to play further forward. In the end we could have won by more.

Superb performances from Harry, Toby, Jan and Ben Davies and really promising performances from Sanchez (great in the first half and Aurier (brilliant in the 2nd half). It feels that the summer signings this year have improved the team not just the squad

Only negatives were the match officials, why are the refs in the European games so poor. Can't believe the number of offside decisions that they got wrong for both sides and the ref was too easily sucked in by the falling to ground of the Dortmund players, culminating in the farcical sending off of Jan.

No that's premier league directive these days I believe. 10% for away fans up to a max of 3k. Not sure what Champions league is. But they must have had 6-7k

Did they have the whole lower tier?

The club said it was 3000 unless otherwise agreed and only for UEFA games so you could be right

What block you in?
I've brought some club tickets for the pool game and we're in 209

I see a few Dortmund fans complain about their 2-2 goal being disallowed on Twitter. It wasn't offside, but their goal that stood should've been flagged! In the lead up to their goal, their left sided player, can't remember who, was in an offside position before crossing it over to the right, before Yarmolenko finished. They only showed one replay of it during the match, and I heard no mention of it after, but looking at the game again now it's clear as day.

Not that it matters, but just in case anyone's giving you grief about Spurs being lucky with that offside decision. :)

I keep saying this when people moan about our refs, do not watch a lot of European football but when I do 9 times out of 10 ours are better

Last night was a real treat! Two teams performing at a high level for the most part with the odd mistake here and there but a thoroughly enjoyable game!

Couldn't believe we were winning at half time considering how well Dortmund played in the first half but the second half was the polar opposite and we fully deserved to win the in the end and sets us up nicely for the group stage going forward. The fact that we won by 2 goals is also significant as head to head could be the decider between us and Dortmund going through, assuming Real will win the group as we all expect them to.

Wonderful second half. Davies my mom, but Tobes was awesome too

It probably shouldnt be but its been something of a revelation to me just how good he has been with Sanchez in the side.

I always knew Vertonghen to be a very complete footballer, and in the past Alderweireld has been the one sitting while Vertonghen roams.

When we bought Sanchez, considering his style and youth and need to learn, it made perfect sense to me Alderweireld would sit in the centre of a back 3 with Sanchez roaming and playing forward more.

Instead its been a masterstroke to have Sanchez central and Alderweireld right. A) Sanchez is actually "safer" there. Less involved, less responsible, its a simpler job for him to bed in with. and B) HOW fudging GOOD?! is Alderweireld when he is let of the leash a bit?

I've long thought Pulisic would be fantastic at ours...

First I ever saw him was last night. Dortmunds best player, and a number of times I thought "Id love to have him in our side".

With all due respect to any Americans on here, I cannot believe he is American. He doesnt play like one at all, he is far more technical and cultured than Ive ever seen from an American player*. Also, I cannot believe he is only 18. If he is that good now, how good will he be in 3 years?! Just, wow...

I expected to find his dad was military and he had grown up in a european academy system or something like that, reading his Wiki its absolutely not the case, he has only been with Dortmund a couple of years and was in the US prior to that. He is a real talent, one Ill be keeping an eye on from now...

*Genuinely, no offence intended at all. I think its fair to say US players have been behind european and south american players technically/tactically for some time. Obviously because soccer was never really big over there and they have been playing catch up for a long time. However, if Pulisic is the sort of player they can produce now? It would be fair to say there is hardly any gap at all.

Spot on about Toby, he was a joy to watch yesterday. Best defender I can remember to have seen pulling on a Spurs shirt. Just rock solid yesterday, and so classy. Man of the match easily, although I agree Davies was great too.

Yet even as the replay was frozen to reveal Pulisic was a good yard offside BT's co-commentator Owen Hargreaves - who btw just happened to be have been brought up in Germany - claimed it looked okay to him.

H'mm!
