***OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Boro***

Not very reminiscent of the Sunderland game, this. We play with energy and urgency. If we keep it up in the second half, I fully expect us to win. Boro will probably adjust a bit at half time though.

We really miss Rose! Davies doesn't really venture forward, leaving Son on his own on the left, or Alli or Eriksen has to move over to assist, leaving fewer to get in the box.

Son is getting a lot of the ball. Wanyama and dembele have been excellent. We've looked lively overall. Keep it up, and I'm not going to complain. Very good half, only goals missing.

I think we all half-expected what might happen.

Certainly not for want of trying on our part. Created plenty of chances, but we have seen these matches so many times, even moreso when we have a massive chance to take advantage of other's failings.

Boro's timewasting is just starting, wait till the ramp it up in the 2nd half. Crowd needs to stay behind the team. Would give it until 55/60 mins before bringing Janssen on

I think Davies has been quite good. Two very good crosses to Kane. Working well with Son. Good combination play and defending well. Rose it's better, but wouldn't necessarily have had a much greater impact in a game like this.

Those early chances missed f*cking frustrated me to no end, because I knew this was going to happen. If we'd managed one early, 'Boro would have been forced to come out of their 'crabs in a sand fort' routine, and maybe would have stopped time-wasting from the 10th minute onwards. As it is, we missed two glorious chances and then grew less and less inspired as the half wore on.

Sigh. At least Valdes will get done in the post-match FA TV review for that shove/nose-poke thing on Dele, however much time he wastes today. As for us, we haven't been bad at all, but we've been too wasteful with our possession and our attempts on goal. We need a bit of clinical finishing and chance creation.

We look solid, they don't get much of the ball at all. Desperately need that home goal though. We're struggking to break down a ten men defence again, but not so much as against Sunderland. It feels as if there's a goal in it for us in this one, unlike the midweek.
