OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v aston villa

Realy needed that win, what a relief. Improved a lot in the second half, but the drivel we saw in the first was a worry. So pleased for Soldado to get his goal, and Townsend was great. Roll on next week.
 
Apparently I didn't miss much...couldn't watch the game..but nevertheless good win which should rebuild that confidence. This game goes to show the WH game was a mistake. We're getting back to our clean sheet winning ways :D

So how did Vlad do in first PL game? :)
 
Great to get back to winning ways after that abomination against the Spammers, good time to play Villa as with a barely match fit Benteke they were toothless in attack. Soldado finally scoring from open play in the league, hopefully will start to see him at his best soon. Townsend excellent again plus Paulinho and Sandro putting in good showings today. Another clean sheet = another 3pts!

Agree with all of that. Great to see Sandro and Lennon back in action, and to see Vlad's first league game.

About looking more comfortable playing on the counter it's pretty much a continuation of what we've seen for a long time. Up until the goal we really struggled to create chances and really none of our attacking players were impressive. After the goal, when they had to push forward and open up a bit more we found space and everything changed and we looked brilliant.

In a lot of ways quite similar to the West Ham game, just that today we got that opening goal whereas against West Ham they got it.

Well done to the lads.

Not bad I thought, quite calm, got into position well, he slotted in nicely.

Good to hear - if we get the form from the end of last season it will be a huge bonus for us.
