James ward prowse would be a good buy in cm - English with a great free kick- ideal eriksen replacement.

We should line up 4231 next season Kane up top Ali as AM Son and Moura wide Sissoko Jwp in the centre

I agree on Kane, I said similar in his thread a few weeks back.

I’m not proud of them after that, it undoes the work in previous rounds, and now that I’m in a negative mood I’m thinking the CL run just papered over a pretty bricky league campaign.

I won’t look back on this season as any kind of success.

We lost 20 games this season. How we came fourth and got CL and also managed to fluke our way to this final is quite astonishing.

Pretty sure the new stricter rule started 1st June. I.e today. Think Mane deliberately aimed at Sissokos arm, but then he has every right to exploit a dumb rule.

Ah didn’t know that interesting. Yeah it was a weird angle he was shooting at, I thought the same.

The improvement under him has been huge, I think it'd be a mistake to think he's a pussy.

It was up until 18 months ago, we gone backwards since, has he got too close to some of them, has the objectivity been blinded?

Easy to say in hindsight, but did we get too carried away with the Ajax game, would tonight have gone differently had we not treated that as success in isolation?

He wanted to move three or four on last summer and couldn't. We've paid the price this season.

I fudging love this club and all these players. It was an incredible run and feels like the start of a next chapter.

Hopefully Levy backs Poch, we move a few out and get some new blood in, and then we use this as a springboard to move forward. If we need any inspiration, look at the team we played tonight. There's no reason we can't push on from this.

I think Poch’s problem is he is too loyal, picking players regardless of form, I know there is the argument about the lack of depth in the squad forcing his hand but I don’t buy it.

Liverpool were equally poor offensively. But they got their goals from the penalty and the only half decent chance they had. Can't say the win was undeserved, but margins are small and had we not conceeded that penalty I believe this game would've panned out very differently.

Such a shame the bloody first thing to happen was that pen - which, I'm certain, wouldn’t have happened to every team. If it was Van Dijk and not Sissoko? Well...I'm not 400% sure that it would've been a pen.

Lucky start for Pool, but we were toothless from there. There was plenty time to get that goal to change everything, but we never looked very threatening. That's disappointing. Kane, Dele, Son, Eriksen - we didn't look like we had that quartet up front at all. Ham Salad, Mane and Firminho looked equally poor, but they had that goal. We looked clueless up front with four players who should be able to create a havoc for any defence.

That, I think, is the disappointmemt. We never threatened them at all.
Excellent summary mate. Exactly how I feel just not put it so articulately
