You are right. And we've played like that a lot of the season. Yet...pool's defence is the foundation of their success, and they are more clinical up front. So we need to improve. Positives? Plentry! Beat City, Ajax, new stadium, money to spend...its a new era.,,
 
Liverpool were brick which makes it all the more frustrating. City would have beat them tonight. Gutting and unless investment is made in the squad this may be our peak.

Yes, notwithstanding Moura's heroics in the semi, its not that he always delivers by any stretch of the imagination. Kane would always start if fit, just like Salah would for Liverpool

Spot on. Many on here are sensitive, emotional creatures and we had a chance to win the biggest trophy (literally), and came up short. Our squad will be gutted. Poch will be gutted. But for fcuk’s sake, we got to this point. And maybe we can get here again.

We should all be so proud of this season and these players.
Next season there will be new players and new lemons.

I'm not sure about that. If Levy backs Poch this summer then there's no reason why the next say 3-4 years can't be at least as good as the last 3-4 years.

I'd back Kane, Dele, Son, Moura, Vertonghen and Winks to all be around for that period, plus various others who aren't first choice but important squad players like Dier, Moura, Davies etc. I'm also hopeful Eriksen will stay

We just need to bring in 3-4 players this summer, and then a couple (1 player to complete for first 18 and a youngster) every summer after that

I love Dier but in critical moments the guy has a mistake in him. That Pansy header from the corner not as bad a Sissoko's silly handball but he needs to cut this sort of brick out if he wants to be a serious player for us.

Reminded me of his England performances toward the latter stages of the world cup. I worried as much would happen beforehand.

Yep, I reckon verts handled his attempt too, would have been another pen had origi not scored the first goal of his career in his ten thousandth game

That was going to happen anyway. Now we’ve got proper money to do it, and players will really want to come to us.
