OMT Spurs vs Emirates Marketing Project

The thing that I noticed with Walker is that there were a couple of times that he had to play back because Reguilon was pushing up and he didn't have time. Put Davies in there and he has time to turn and play a ball.

We switched Ndombele and Bergwijn's positions in the second half. An interesting change considering how well both were playing.
Davies just isn’t in reggies league unless we’re playing long ball teams

It was possibly because if we were planning to get Son in on the angled run, we put him up against someone he'd 400% out run. Walker has faults but he annoyingly wins every single foot race.

I think it was our last league game where Son and Bale played on their"natural" sides for a fair chunk of the game. So it is definitely something we are trying. Son has been poor on the right previously, so it is an interesting tactic.

I think it took the whole of a nervous first half for me to realise we weren't just riding our luck but were dealing very efficiently with (pretty much) everything City threw at us.
The second half we were more in control and City seemed to fade. I actually stopped being worried at their corners, fully confident that we'd deal with them.
Fair play to Mourinho for the way he set the team up to play and the approach to the game, and to the players. It felt a bit like Poch days where each player knew where the others were/what they were doing. It was the epitome of a team performance.

And a win to go top - how many times have we messed that up? Our players must be feeling so confident now, top of the table after a thoroughly deserved win. It must be a great feeling. I hope we can bottle it and build on it.

They’re on very low pay anyway and think they lose much needed bonuses if behind schedule.

I hope she finished him off quickly and got him on his way again.

Also, people are waiting in for their parcels, so we can’t forget there’s the important customer service angle which can’t be overlooked too.

I randomly chose page 29 to pick up on this thread and this first post on the page was rather confusing!

Good post but please don’t ever use that phrase again...

I think that would be the norm ie bale right son left.

If the Ndombele/Celso combo supply chain fires up then the movement patterns in front of them might become super fluid anyhow.

Or maybe I'm overestimating how loose we will become?

By natural I mean left footed on the left and right on right. It was how we lined up today and have been trying for a few games. Maybe they were test runs for today. Either way it is a tactical change.

Oh. Tbh can't remember that :)..sure that didn't happen at West Brom though.?

I'd need to go back and check, I'm rubbish at remembering this stuff. I've definitely seen it in the last few games. Not for the full game but not just switching positions/rotating either.

We're top for at least a day, and the Kane-Son-Bale dynamic has even kicked in yet. That's quite frightening really.

Still worried the injury to Alderweireld is going to hamper us. Never a good time to get injured, but typically for us, best defender gets injured at the start of our toughest run.

I read VVD has started light training when he was supposed to out for the season. Knowing our luck I bet Van Dyck ends up missing less games than Alderweireld does.

@milo Dier and Kane

Dier is really improving now that he is settled at CB and is a real leader in there.

The way Kane is playing he is a cert for the player of the year if he keeps it up and in consideration for Ballon Dor.
