OMT: Spurs v Chelsea Thursday, 8pm at Stamford Bridge

I might give in when we get closer to the match, but right now I only care about getting rid of Postecouglu. If we we lose I'll take it.
I probably will too! Then probably turn off when the usual performance is dished. My peace is now my priority šŸ˜€

It's hard to continue to sit thru performances which don't improve and or slow side passes. Again people didn't like how Conte played and we were 4th.
I don't enjoy what we do

Usually, any team with a 2 week break, not in the FA Cup, so an extra break should be raring to go. This is Tottenham, at Stamford Bridge.

Forgive us if we are being slightly pessimistic, for being holders of what is probably the worst record in the premier league fixture history ever, home & away, topped with an awful manager with awful tactics and a team having an absolute shocker of a season. Therefore not expecting a 3-0 win to the mighty spurs must be immediately downvoted.

Itā€™s got 1-0 down after 10 seconds written all over it.

From our kick off.

That's just reminded me of Arsenal away when they scored just before half time and then scored again straight away from our kick off, Sky missed the build up and went straight to Fabregas being one one one and scoring. Thought it was a replay or something. Nope, we were just that brick.

ā€œIā€™ve never hated a manager more than this oneā€
ā€I donā€™t care, I just want the manager firedā€
ā€œI wonā€™t even bother watchingā€

Great fudging bunch of supporters you all are. What an embarrassment. Good to add another thread to the ā€œmust not openā€ list.

It's sad that so many people take virtually everything about the club so personally. It appears the majority of followers are unhappy with things at the club and that's to be expected but the need to attack individuals is unnecessary. Nobody loses or underperforms on purpose. I assume we all want the best for the club (although there are some I'm not sure of) and at difficult times we all need to pull together and statements like "I don't care" or "I'm not going to watch" make me question if people support the club or just want to be associated with success for reflected glory. I've never believed anything the club do reflects on me as I've no control over what happens and winning something although pleasing to me doesn't make me any better, smarter or important than any other person. If you don't like something in life you can't change just move on to something else.

Yeah, I agree.

It's a crazy relationship we have with our football teams. It's not like your grocery shopping when you just get hacked off with one retailer so you start shopping at another. It's not like politics either where you can vote for one of the other parties.

Football should be an outlet that is good for our mental wellbeing after the humdrum of daily life. You can see how some fans let their mental health suffer because of Spurs though.

One perspective I do have is that fans are customers. Fans pay their valuable disposable income for that product and have a right to provide feedback. The majority provide that feedback constructively. It is the minority that make it personal.

Totally agree, people get emotional involved with their teams and some can't accept or understand that it's a game where various elements can effect the outcome.
Never been able to accept I'm a customer as I don't see football as a product, it's was so much more.
Fans are right to be disappointed and voice their concerns, but I don't see it should take place during the game as it may effect the team performance.
I loved playing and watching the game but I don't consider myself a football fan anymore, the game has lost it's soul at so many levels and the joy has been sucked out of it for me, I still watch Spurs and England but not with the excitement I use to feel and only watch parts of other games if I'm aware something of interest to me has happened.

I don't think that's totally fair.

The industrialization and commercialisation of the product changed the way in which the fan has been treated, from vital part of the club, to a replaceable number who's season ticket is given away if they miss too many games in a row.

If your industry treats it's consumers in this way, as customers then the customer will expect a return cause they are now being sold nothing more than a product. I used to get emotional about Tottenham, I don't anymore, I go more out of habit and that it's what I do with my dad than anything else.

Once the lines were drawn between the clubs, maximizing profits, Sky etc on one side and the punter on the other, the result is inevitable.

Perhaps it's easier to say that being is a customer is just a subset of being a fan. It's only one element. The moment you buy a beer in a pub that is showing football you are a customer though. It's one big supply chain of greedy people.

Perhaps because of our own plight, I hadn't really looked at the top of the table.

From 4th (Chelsea) to 10th (Bmouth) there is only 5 points.

Wouldn't it be amazing to knock Chelsea out of the top 4 on their own turf? What Spurs player wouldn't be motivated by that?

I don't think motivation is an issue or even ability, knowhow and execution is
