Although Aurier hit a nice first time cross he struggles when he has time to think. Him and Sissoko are both noticeably worse on the ball than the rest of the team. The least they need to do is keep it simple.
 
Well, we can’t say we should be further ahead, but if we improve just a little bit we should run away with it.

Good job Alli has turned up as Eriksen, Kane and Moura have been poor.

Dier is playing well, despite Aurier and Sissoko playing awful 1-2’s around him.

Davies has been great, he must be horrible to play against, they’ve given up trying to run him.

Hugo and the CB’s have had very little to do but have managed to do it with very little authority.

First day back at school hopefully.

Harry was the last one to touch it but Aurier had got himself between the ball and the Saudi Sportswashing Machine player but failed to hold him off or pass the ball.
 
I have to join in with the sissoko bashing but he offers nothing, can't do the simple things, what does poch see, surely a kid in there will offer a bit more.
 
It'll be interesting to see how we line up when everyone is fit. We may end up seeing Dier, Eriksen and Dele as the midfield three and Lamela as the fourth midfielder floating about. I think we need someone who has stong defensive characteristics in order to allow Eriksen and Dele to rotate, but they also need to have some ability on the ball.

Personally, I'm waiting to see us create some good chances with the front 3. We look rusty, but half the team haven't had a pre-season to settle. I'd take 2-1.

I think that's why Aurier started as him and Sissoko teamed up pretty well on that right hand side last season.

Ultimately though, if we need to take another step upwards, neither can be part of our club.
