You can see why Mou wanted that striker, we just can’t hold it at front and they keep coming. That said things don’t look too bad, we look strong on the counter, just need to get the final pass right and you can kind of see how it will work when Kane is back. Most of their good chances have been our own mistakes, Sanchez poor pass and poor tackle in penalty area.

But with Poch’s tactics it worked okay. This squad is not built to play hoofball.

We need something that we create to lift the crowd! Not just a penalty save...

we need to assert ourselves and certainly show some bloody passion!

@milo

definitely not Son*

*except if he puts in a second half super show which seems unlikely based on his first half showing.

We know that he's not as effective off the right. Him and Bergwijn swapped a couple of times in the half, I wonder if we should start the second half with them the other way around

We're playing three wde forwards so if there's no attack WTF are they doing?
It's the midfield. Dele is pretty non existent in possession and when he has had it he's mostly given it away. Winks has done well defensively and played a few good passes but ultimately he is a positional player rather than a prober. So we really only have Lo Celso as a good user of the ball in midfield and he is being out worked by the three of City. Bringing on Ndombele would give him someone on the same wavelength and might allow is to get the forward free in decent space.
