Yeah it was Ian Darke as far as I know. He always likes to remind Spurs fans that Spurs are not a truly big club and don't win trophies and haven't been top for 35 years and haven't won the league for 60 years and aren't a big team and aren't a big team and aren't a big team and aren't a big team and aren't a big team and then when we score he flips and says that Kane is a Rolls Royce.
The guy is 66 though, time to retire and allow someone else a chance and a job. Selfish otherwise.
You're right. It's because he isn't sure of what he's said, and is scared the "Pro" next to him will disagree, so he keeps saying "isn't he" etc so Jenas has to go "erm...yeah....er..."He's a total muppet. And has that curious English habit of asking a question after making a declarative statement.
As in: He's a total muppet, isn't he?

Well it's our pitch so I certainly hope they'll be on it fairly regularly. No way should Kane or Son be on this pitch though.
So it was a tinkling contest. Who won?I should clarify we were both urinating.
Glen said he thought he would be further along by now in his recovery than he patently is . He thought he isn't yet trusting his body and is playing with some " fragility". Glen thought he may have tried to reinvent himself as a provider rather than the main man , but it hasn't happened yet. Both pundits thought he still has it in him to take Spurs to another level although doubted he would regain the heights he had previously reached. In summary, more to come from him.

I quite like Ian Darke. Possibly owing to a bit of boxing nostalgia bias. He's a total muppet. And has that curious English habit of asking a question after making a declarative statement.

Damning with the faintest of praise Glenda.I don't find Ian Darke too bad really, comparatively. It's a low bar of course. He's no Martin Tyler, which puts him up a level.
I know I shouldn't be surprised that people moan about the performances in the EL despite the evidence of the previous games, we play a reserve team who only play together in this type of game against teams who are probably playing their biggest game of the season and are usually doing well domestically. These aren't great teams but they are competent and as long as it stays goal less they play with confidence.
We got through finishing top of table, which is all we could have asked for, let's move on to moan about hopeful victories in the League and FA cups.
Its been fine, but we live in the future, with every training facility and psychological preparation possible, they’ve been training together as a squad for months, we should be able to just plug guys in and get the same level of performance from all of them. That that isn’t the case, suggests to me that there are still coaching improvements to be made and that the players can work harder.

7 new players in the squad
A schedule that probably prevents those coaching improvements (or at least hinders them) you mention
Bergwijn, Bale and Gio coming into season off of injuries
And lastly, modern sports science actually builds towards players peak form, you don't want all of your players at top form at same time unless it's end of season/final
I'd actually say we are ahead of schedule, and that's probably to do with the preseason substitute that Europa qualifying was.
