This format is actually really fun tonight. Real have just been pushed into the playoffs by Sporting.

Some people were opposed to this format. I think its brilliant, espcially on nights like this when all 16 play at the same time, and IIRC 14 of them had something riding on them

We have comfortably handled our CL campaign and Frank has absolutely been part of that.

What's really intriguing is that if Maddison is as determined to get back early as it seems, he might well be available in April. I think when you're in the last 16 of a tournament, you have to believe you can win it.
I hope we do.
I know one player who will, he's the guy who has won a World Cup and was once again a huge, huge engine for tonight's win.

That was excellent and top 4 in the table is very impressive. Simons was brilliant, he could be the lad who makes the entrance fee worthwhile. Everyone put in a shift though. Credit to Frank too. Regardless of what Frankfurt were or weren’t, we were excellent and over 8 games have done very well.

I dunno what to make of this batbrick crazy club. Absolute muck domestically for two seasons but we win a Europa League and overachieve in the Champions League.

Maybe Levy was a visionary beyond what we believed - we’d be champions now if the European Super League had gone ahead.

Historically we've been a cup team. Was thinking, the FA Cup has effectively been replaced by the CL. The FA cup used to be the televised money maker back in the day, and now its the CL.

The problem is when we lose some fans are overly critical of Frank. When we win there is a reaction the other way by another set of fans. What we need is less polarisation and to take each game as it comes. Frank is neither a great manager nor a terrible one. He's learning and he will continue to do that this season. In the meantime it would be good if despite the differences of opinions (some of it justified on both sides), we just got behind him and the team.

I'm never gonna use injuries as an excuse, but what we have done, without a minute of Kulu and Maddison, is impressive.
