Gio darts forward and the three players ahead of him do relatively little to make an option for him.
 
2 mins added, they counted the delay with the comms issue to be 3 and a half mins.

Lamela is so frustrating. I've never seen a player that had so much talent and was yet so one footed. So one footed that it actually massively negatively impacts his game.
 
Thought we did ok. Look reasonably solid. I never felt they were nailed on to score although Aurier's header at the end was crucial and impressive. Defensively, we've been in the right positions a lot of the time which is similar to last week.

Son on the left is a waste. He's doing nowt. Tanganga also looks like a possible ref card.

I do worry losing has now become a habit for these players. We've lost a ridiculous number of games in the last 12 months whereas for 2-3 years under Poch, I never expected to lose.

Also, the abuse Dele is getting on here is embarrassing. He's working hard, had some good moments and some bad ones. He doesn't deserve the brick he's getting here.

His decision making and technique are more of an issue.

Son and Moura are two very inconsistent forwards. Lamela has never been a goalscorer, but those two give you games where you think we have top level wing forwards and then the next week next to nothing. In fairness to Moura, he's having to play as a striker again and is getting shrugged off most 50/50 balls.

Tanganga is having a right old nightmare too. Might see Sessegnon brought on, because Jan won't do any better out there.

A minute ago there though he got into the box with a bit of decent trickery, but couldn't play a right footed ball into the box so got crowded out. But yes, his decision making isn't the best and he does tend to hold the ball too long. Although we could conceivably level that charge against most of our creative players.

Dele especially, Lamela, Moura and Son are all guilty of this, some more so than others but all guilty.

Lamela has poor technique/execution to go with it. A rather frustrating match but one that certainly had positives.

@milo Motm a difficult one to decide probably Toby or maybe Lo Celso. [emoji848]
