Other than Mannone, I think Arsenal have their strongest 11 out there tonight. I wish we could do the same one day.

I think they had other concerns transfer wise and probably shouldn't have thrown all the money at Modric, can imagine a lot of their fans have been thinking the same as they've not been brilliant in la liga (by their standards)...

Already been said but Dortmund are rather good, how much money have they spent, don't think many of their players are big money signings, might be wrong though

Dortmund are literally dominating Madrid at their own game, absorb the pressure and kill on the counter. Stunning display so far by Dortmund.

Yep, he didn't play bad, but didn't really influence the game. Few passes and tackles but not much more. I'm not sure about him playing with Alonso, think Modric alongside Khedeira (however you spell it) would be boss though.

I was watching the first half and I thought he looked a little nervous. Not terrible or anything but playing within himself. He passed the ball reasonably well but was rather static overall.

I think you are right that Modric playing with Alonso is not a good combination. Maybe a little too similar to form an effective pair.

Think Gundogan's looked really good tonight. However, every time I watch Madrid Di Maria is pretty average, pretty wierd looking and pretty fudging dramatic about everything.
