Poch after the game - it is so tough to play 4 games in a short period of time, it was so tough, great respect to the staff, it is so tough to play so many games

#Doesn'tMakeSubs

I’m convinced what he tells the press is sometimes just to keep them happy with some easy, friendly quotes to write up rather than it always being what he actually thinks. Sometimes he absolutely uses the press to get a message out but sometimes I think he spins easy stuff so that outsiders and competitors don’t know exactly what he is thinking.

He knows full well if he was concerned about how tough it was to play this game so soon he could have rotated Trippier, Sanchez/Toby, Moura in and if he really wanted to probably thrown Skipp in for Winks or Sissoko. But he didn’t, and I think it’s because he wanted to make the point that he actually doesn’t think it’s that tough for the players and that they should be capable of top form. And I think he did that very well today.

To be fair, we’d be saying the same about other clubs if they were in the same situation with the stadium but not sure why an opposition manager would be bringing it up in this sort of way.

Not a vintage performance but we seem to be more clinical in the last few games which is good as we can be wasteful in terms of missing chances.

I hope Aurier comes back soon as he’s far superior to Trippier who gets exposed on almost a weekly basis. Sorry but I just don’t think he’s good enough.

Can we also pretend Son has died like that club in Ireland did so he doesn’t have to go to the Asian games?

I can see his point from a logical perspective but I don’t think it actually means anything - like everyone was saying we had an advantage in the FA Cup semi against United but clearly we didn’t. It could go both ways - either we are settled in to the new stadium and smash the run in with our tails up or we could just as easily struggle to adapt. It means nothing. Wolves didn’t beat us because of which stadium we were playing in - they just did the job better than us on the day.

He’s annoyed because he’s thinking from his own perspective but the league is allowing it because it’s a nice precedent for other clubs who may want to invest in new stadiums. Cardiff probably aren’t doing that anytime soon.

Worried about accusations of undermining Solskjær.

And that’s probably one of the smart things about Poch not coming out and denying everything straight away. If he’s sure that what he can control - his own players - won’t be affected then he may as well let the fact that one of our rivals is having their manager undermined on a weekly basis by his own name - maybe it helps us. Maybe it has no effect, but to Poch’s quote about good looking wives or whatever it was, I think he likes the fact that he is admired - it may help his relationship and the respect he gets from our players while lessening the impact of Ole on his own squad. Maybe.

Cardiff have a very new stadium I think

Think you may have your wires crossed somewhere unless I missed the news? Think you may be referring to Stephen Ireland missing a call-up as one of his grand-parents had died...allegedly!

Most notable thing about watching it on sky was that the commentary was okay.

Worthy of comment as some of it was courtesy of Alan Smith.

At one point in the first half when Smith was commentating, Mr GL said “I know I shouldn’t say this but his speech impediment is really irritating”.
Me : By ‘speech impediment’ do you mean just that he speaks? Then I agree.

In fairness he wasn’t quite so bad this evening, although there did seem to be an unnecessary number of references to the Wolves result. But that might just be my bias radar over reacting.

I thought both Son and Poch handled their post match interviews really well, when the intention was clearly to try to draw them into making a prediction or preference about Thursday’s City v Liverpool game. Each just said that they enjoyed watching football, it would be a good game and they looked forward to watching it. Plus Poch said he had a game to plan for on Friday. Classy responses - pay attention Cheatski players.

Would we? Why? I can't see any reason why we would. I certainly wouldn't. When our stadium is finished, then surely we should be allowed to play there. I can't see any reason why we shouldn't. Nor would I if another team was in the same situation.

As for that Sissoko tackle, I honestly can't remember any tackle he made that was even close to a yellow card, let alone a red. It must have been a hell of a lot worse than the one Joe Ralls made on Lucas Moura at Wembley earlier in the season then, cause according to Warnock at the time, that one was nowhere near a red card. He was saying disrespectful stuff about Harry Kane after that game too. The man has no class whatsoever. I'm disappointed Poch shook his hand after the game.

Yeah, this "you should only be allowed to play at one stadium a season" nonsense is really doing my head in. It makes no fudging sense to me. I mean, you can't have Southampton or whoever just say they want to play at Portsmouth now for whatever reason, for instance, that would just be silly, but we're building a new stadium for fudges sake! Why the fudge shouldn't we be allowed to move in once it's finished? Where's the fudging logic in only being able to play at one stadium? Unfair advantage for the clubs that gets to play us away when we're also sort of playing away? That's our fudging disadvantage, for fudges sake, no one else's. That whole discussion is hilarious. Why? Why would it be an advantage for us to play at two stadiums? Why shouldn't we be allowed to move in to our new stadium once it's finished?
