***Official Match Thread Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool Sat. 20th Dec. 5:30pm***

It's definitely intent.
He's not slipping.
It's not 50/50
He's not near the ball.
He just racks his studs down the calf.

He's an absolute Muppet

My issue is with the on field review. It’s for anything that isn’t clear, but once referred onfield, that’s it. Decision made. When VAR is supposed to help with clear and obvious mistakes. A yellow wasn’t a mistake. It was an ‘orange’ card. Yellow was the onfield decision and essentially okay.

What was the other game where we had another on field injustice?

I’d have looked for it if it was the other way. It’s an awful, stupid tackle. Really fudging stupid.

He gave the ref a decision to make. He can have few complaints. In today’s game, you can’t do that.
Football just seems soft to me these days. If that was against us I wouldn't want or expect a red. It's clumsy, but to send him off. Really harsh in my opinion.

I don't mind as long as its consistent across all PL games.

But it isn't.

To me, it shouldn’t be a red but in today’s game, it gives the ref a decision to make. The fact he did it in their half when he had no chance of getting the ball is mind boggling. He has no one to blame but himself. He’d been dogbrick in the game so I’d imagine there was some frustration built up.

Shame as we looked the better of two poor teams before that.

I think it's worse if it's not malicious.

It's not a slip.
It's not a reaction.

So it's either malicious or lacking in any thought and responsibility whatsoever.
Genuinely think it was just clumsy, I can't see that he really thought he should try and rake his studs but I guess we'll never know what's going on in his head.
