Watched Hummingbird over the weekend.

7.5

Very good film and actually exceeds expectations for a Jason Statham, decent storyline and well fimed.

Watched Flight last night, bit of a lame ending but wish I'd caught this at the cinema now just to watch Nadine Velazquez (the latina maid from My Name Is Earl) showing off her landing strip!

Watched This is the end at the weekend, good for a laugh but not brilliant, although the severed head moment had me in stitches!

I watched This Is The End up cinema and thought it was a good gross out comedy, the scenes with Michael Cera were the funniest for me

Gravity is ****ing sweet on the eyes, but Hollywood on the story.
If you've never treated yourself to a film at an IMAX, then this would be the one to spoil yourself with.

I was drinking with the Assoc. Editor of Total Film last weekend and she said the exact same thing as I've never seen a film at an IMAX.

I was planning on watching Gravity at Waterloo IMAX but most of the good seats for its run appear to have sold out already, fortunately an Odeon multiplex near me has had a small IMAX screen retrofitted so will probably end up going there. Hopefully when the Empire IMAX opens in Leicester Square in a few weeks time it should make it easier to get tickets for IMAX movies on full size IMAX screens.

Well you've got one of the UK' biggest IMAX screens up there at Manchester Odeon so Gravity should look impressive. I'd recommend getting seats towards the back of the auditorium as if it's anything like Waterloo you don't want to be too close to the screen as it's so huge it makes it difficult to take everything in.

Hangover 3
Grown Ups 2
Man of Steel
White House Down

Any of them any good? Ill def watch Hangover 3 - complete the trilogy and all that.

As Episode VII continues pre-production, Lawrence Kasdan and director J.J. Abrams have assumed screenwriting duties for the film. Kasdan, who has been serving as a consultant on the film, is a veteran of several classic Lucasfilm productions, writing the screenplay for Raiders of the Lost Ark and serving as co-screenwriter for The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Acclaimed director and screenwriter Abrams' credits include Super 8, Mission: Impossible III, Fringe, and Lost.

"I am very excited about the story we have in place and thrilled to have Larry and J.J. working on the script," states Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy. "There are very few people who fundamentally understand the way a Star Wars story works like Larry, and it is nothing short of incredible to have him even more deeply involved in its return to the big screen. J.J. of course is an incredible storyteller in his own right. Michael Arndt has done a terrific job bringing us to this point and we have an amazing filmmaking and design team in place already prepping for production."

Location scouting, production design, casting, and costume design are already underway on Episode VII. A team of gifted artists are working to bring the latest installment of the Star Wars saga, including director of photography Dan Mindel (Mission: Impossible III, Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness), production designers Rick Carter (Lincoln, Avatar, Forrest Gump) and Darren Gilford (Oblivion, TRON: Legacy), costume designer Michael Kaplan (Star Trek Into Darkness, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, Fight Club),special effects supervisor Chris Corbould (Skyfall,The Dark Knight Rises, Inception), sound designer Ben Burtt (Lincoln, Wall-E, Star Wars: Episodes I-VI), re-recording mixer Gary Rydstrom (Jurassic Park, Saving Private Ryan, Toy Story, Mission: Impossible -Ghost Protocol), supervising sound editor Matthew Wood (Star Trek Into Darkness, The Master, There Will Be Blood) of Skywalker Sound, and visual effects supervisor Roger Guyett (Star Trek Into Darkness, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith) of Industrial Light & Magic. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, with Tommy Harper (Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, Jack Ryan, Star Trek Into Darkness) and Jason McGatlin (Tintin,War of the Worlds) serving as executive producers. John Williams is returning to score Star Wars: Episode VII.

Shooting is scheduled to begin Spring 2014 at Pinewood Studios for an expected 2015 release

I don't know if this has been discussed before or not, but after watching that Conjuring trailer (which looks quality btw) it reminded me (in terms of genre, not style) how much I enjoyed The Woman In Black, the one with Daniel Radcliffe.

It's really atmospheric and creepy. Very much old school hammer type ****.

I saw the play of Woman in Black a few years ago. I love a bit of theatre. Pwoper acting n'****.

That played scared the **** out of me.

Watched Hangover 3 - it wasnt that great. Love Hangover one and Hangover two was ok but too hung up on Hnagover one. Hangover three was just a bit dull but ok for a free thinking type movie.

Watched The Conjuring last night, great horror film really gave me the willies!

I watched this last night too. Pretty scary, especially because it is based on real life events.

Watched "Top Secret" (1984) with a young Val Kilmer before ^^ this. I'd forgotten how f***ing funny that movie is!!! Haven't seen it in 20 odd years and it had me and the gf in stitches. Up there with Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs etc IMO

Indeed. A hidden gem and one of my faves.

I'm not so keen on that film, definitely not sure how it can be compared with the greats listed.

I watched Enders Game tonight, promised so much but although the character interaction, and the acting, was good the film felt very flat. Not impressed.
