Really thought he'd be a player. The couple of times I saw him, he was lightning quick from memory. I was only 7-8 though so may be wrong.
Another one who seemed to score when he played but barely ever played was John Hendry. He scored 2 at Highbury if I recall properly when we beat them 3-1 in 1993. It was a weakened Scum side though.

Indeed, funny enough i only missed one game that season ( away to hull) and i could not believe some of the brick holes we went to. To think we nearly blew it with our run at the end of the season and had to get a point at Southampton to get up ( best 0-0 i have ever been at).
