Seeing as O'Neill and Hughes have recently been signed and I can't see Levy going near Moyes with a bargepole, that makes the two standout favourites Ancelotti and Mourinho. Encouraging.

Ancelotti recently joined PSG.

a solid contract didnt stop Levy and Alexander tapping up Ramos and sacking Jol... the point being contracts are not worth anything except compensation payouts

Those odds are just based on how people are betting right? As opposed to how the bookies actually feel or any kind of insider information they may have.

I very much doubt either Mourinho or Ancelotti will be our next manager, especially if Redknapp leaves this summer.

Yes but Ancelotti is at the French Emirates Marketing Project. He has an open cheque. I don't think we have as much money for transfers as we all believe, can't see him leaving them for us.

Id take Jose on a couple of conditions:

He gets into his tiny little skull that THFC>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>jose
He signs an agreement to never park the bus

Then it would be funny to see the chelsea fans cry a little

Do you genuienly believe Jose Mournho would come to a club with a wage cap of around 60k/week?

More so than your suggestion of Coyle or Allardyce and its not 60k a week, Ledley is on more than that and so is Modric's new contract offer

The one's he's not too keen to sign because he can go to Chelsea and earn triple that? Come one, let's be honest.

It most certainly is under 100k which is the bare minimum for the standard of a player associated with the standard of such coach. It's the equivalent of him taking on Athletic Bilbao or Sevilla in La Liga.

It's a pipe dream born on this forum and perpetuated weekly by nothing more than sheer optimism following our sudden consistent run over the last 3-odd season following Arry's arrival. Yes, our image and stature has risen from the Jol days (for example) but most certainly not to the level of Jose Mourinho or Van Gaal for example

Van Gaal??? He would take the Spurs job in a heartbeat. He is no longer the most sought after coach/manager in the world. That ship sailed long ago.

if Emirates Marketing Project get pipped to the post by Utd this season, and Redknapp becomes England manager, i see a more likely scenario of Emirates Marketing Project going all out for Mourniho and Mancini then taking over Tottenham

Is Van Gaal supposed to be bit...em you know...mental?

big time.

not sure if British footballers could handle his ways. He certainly alienates sections of dressing rooms wherever he has been.

However his teams play great football

Despite our wage structure, we still have the best midfield in the league. But perhaps that will all change after the money is all sunk into a new stadium and the financial future of the club is more clear.

Jose wants to return to England, no mystery there.

Top 4 clubs really looks like -> City (Mancini will probably win title and a cup and stay there), Manure (SAF not ready to go yet), Spurs, Cheat$ki (he has been there before). While our wage structure is tight, we have no problem paying top wages to managers.

See a lot of "he will only stay here 2 years" .. fudge if I care

- JM would win one or two cups in that time
- We would get top 4 for those two years
- Would rase the profile of the club even higher, and potentially attract better players.

Unlikely, but if there was a chance, Levy should go for it.
