Next Manager?

Mate Pochettino was toast by the time that game rolled around you see those types of performances in those circumstances - same situ here, that aint happy dressing room and that will manifest itself on the pitch at the end of the day, whoever you are

I don’t disagree
But it’s the players o have the issue with as they cost us Poch
And unless Jose can get a tune out of them we lose him
And the knock on gets bigger
It feels like when Poch took over and needed to shift some dead wood

Can't see Levy or any chairman cleaning 10+ players out.

This is only ending one way.

The new guy will have some time. I dont see us having European football next season so have an extra year to rebuild and wont need as big a squad next season

We have:
- 7-9 first team quality players
- a few who are good enough squad players
- Add Skipp, Sessegnon coming back in the summer, perhaps a role for Foyth
- ...and sign 3-4 in the summer

We just need to get rid of the manager

Yeah fair enough i see it differently - like i said last night over the last 3 windows (not inc this one) we've done a fair bit of work on squad maintenance and the team has moved on from pre CL final Poch team that had come to the end.

There's still obviously some overlap, just like how Poch had to deal with the squad that lurched from end of Redknapp to AVB to Sherwood. Difference is he done his bit and made it work.

We have some poor player and we need to sort more than just players and the manager. We need a root and branch reorganisation of player recruitment.

I admit I made the mistake of thinking Poch going would solve the problem, he was burnt out and it’s right he went. But we still have massive issue of the same old players. Despite investment and a very good first team, we are still regularly having to play the same guys who haven’t performed to the required level for years - Sanchez, Dier,Sissoko,Lamela etc same old suspects Even Davies is grating on me now, the drop off in level from Reguilon to him is ridiculous. Sure we could get in another coach who would play a more attractive style, but until we get rid of the dross with better quality incomings I don’t see us doing any better....

If we cant get the long-term manager in then I dont think its a bad option. He'd give the players a lift and probably help retain Kane, Son etc

I dont have a name, but there will presumably be various international managers becoming free after the Euros

My preference is Rodgers though

It’s the exits we need
The bad apples that drag maybe new recruits and fresh blood down
That’s me guessing
 
What about trying to get Joachim Low or Didier Deschamps after the Euros?

Wonder whether Levy would go for Southgate!!!

Absolutely, but my one concern with him is that he's only done it in the Eredivisie to date, and his teams have a habit of choking in the big moments, like us. But then, that's better than choking all the time I suppose, with this sad sack.
