Why do my posts have to wait for a MOD to authorise them? How long before you realise a 'newbie' isn't a bot/schmuck?

I don’t know what the threshold is but it does seem too long. You must be about there now though because it feels like I’ve approved a ton of your posts!
Sometimes it takes a while for a new poster to show their true colours however. Sometimes it’s obvious.

Think yourself lucky. I used to be called Clarky and during the 'transition' of yesteryear became 'Dorothy' after some technical anomalies. I was signing up for a Land Rover forum in another window, as I own one called 'Dorothy'. There was an electrical storm and when the PC came back on whammy Dorothy was signed up. Now she lies holed and rusting and I had to stay away as the username was too triggering. Perhaps if they can fix your 'y', they can retain my 'y' and swap the Doroth to Clark??
