Maybe. My read on it is that Schneiderlin and Capoue occupy the same space on the pitch in front of the CB's but to be honest I'm just going on just the few games I've seen against us and a few...em....youtube vids.
Actually as a defensive minded partner Dembele is pretty good and I would say in terms of keeping possession there probably is no better on the team. His indecision further up the pitch is his main problem. It's something I partially blame AVB for and something I'm hoping Poch can cure, but that's another conversation.

Strange one really.
Paired with Sandro he'd be more free to find space and pass and it would be quite a solid midfield.
Paired with, say, Bentaleb and he'd be the one expected to do the defending. Not sure if it would be solid enough, but I'd like to see it.

I'd love to see Sandro and Schneiderlin partnered as our double pivot.

He is different to everything we have got in the sense he is the more complete player to sit deepest in midfield. The others have strengths and flaws. Morgan seems to have the tackle, pass, reading and mobility combined. Well that's what I see from the videos and bits I have read about him.

I think people forget just how solid Sandro and Dembele were in their first year together. Yes we lacked some creativity from the centre of the park but if you have playmakers ahead of them I think it works. A solid base who can compete with anyone.

Were unreal. Sandro was player of the year and Dembele was fresh and something different to what we were used to. Add to that Bale progressing rapidly into one of worlds best and you had the makings of a fun AVB debut year.

They were amazing. Problem is both had odd seasons. One with a bad injury that he didn't really come back from and then a torrid time with TS. And the other struggling to complete 90 minutes and clearly out of form.
Neither has featured in preseason and I worry that Poch will let two top players go. I hope not. Would rather see Holtby sold and Bentaleb loaned.

Really???? This Southampton circus is a bit silly now. Very solid player but I can't say potentially £24m is good business. Christ.

Depends what the clauses are. Half of the Soldado fee was clauses.

Yes but it won't be though. These clauses are things like total apps and international apps therefore having no bearing on how we do as a club. It seems a lot that's all.
