Mauricio Pochettino

Can't see him walking out on the us team a year before they host a world cup. Would massively damage his reputation and cut a lot of job opportunities in the future.
No club owners give a fudge about international football...and whether a manager has jumped ship mid contract, especially from a third tier international outfit.

Americans are patriotic. There are plenty of american owners in football. It probably wont rule him out for jobs but might tip the scale if it's a choice.
Msl and punditry jobs in america would probably be ruled out.

I can't see it. He see's his time out. Goes to the world cup in the us. He does well. Great. He'd always have a choice of jobs in america. Adverts etc... He doesn't do so well. It's the us team. There would always be a job at spurs coming up.

Take your spurs tinted glasses off.

'Spurs tinted glasses'...:) why would I have them on talking about this?.

His English is not good enough for Americans to want to use him for any of the punditry/commercial jobs you suggest.

I think he will continue with the US as he comes across as an honorable fella BUT he's an emotional fella as well so I'd never say never if DL called and said 'its now or never'.

It's not quite "now or never", but it should be "now or you'll be waiting a really long time".

The next appointment should be here for a very long time. It's all setup for them to do well.

Imagine the scandal if Felix Sanchez had walked out on Qatar at an equilvalent time. Indeed - no one would have noticed.

I think their election of a fascist president in the meantime is a reasonable change of working conditions, especially for someone from a persecuted ethnic minority.

I agree that it wouldn’t reflect well on him and that he won’t be leaving but at same time the world is a massive place and I don’t think I could see him ever wanting to manage an MLS side…

and that he’s only taken the US job to experience the feeling of managing a country hosting a WC - knowing that expiremce is guaranteed and not far away. Then he can leave

If he did leave as they have WC preparations underway thay would be terrible. But there’s so many better leagues and so many equivalents to MLS if he really wanted to I don’t think he’d experience much blowback

Don't burn bridges. You never know what the future holds. Mls might not be a highly rated league but it has money. Which is more than can be said of most european leagues.

Pochettino should’ve asked CBS to replace Clint Dempsey with a bowl of lemons to negate Henry’s aura!
