It seems a disproportionate punishment, and you have to then ask if it would have happened to Klopp/Sarri/Solkjaer etc.

Personally I think not.

Dean definitely provoked it, perhaps innocently/perhaps not, but there was definitely something there.

And now we are getting an OTT punishment? That stinks.

I k now we wont do anything, we'll take our medicine and keep our council, but I would love it to come out from somewhere exactly what was said so that people know who the real issue is with and how bent our systems are
 
But seriously, how likely is it that it will come out due to 'sources' etc?

Then again, FA kept a tight lid of the Terry-Ledley clash in 2006 at WHL so maybe not very likely...

I suspect it will come out in the follow up book.
Then poch can say he told balague it in confidence, nothing to do with Poch.
 
It seems very strange to me that Pochettino hasn't come out and let the World know what it was that Dean said that made him so angry.

"I reacted badly because the referee said to me 'xxxxxxxx'. I now realise that I shouldn't have reacted in such a way publically but should instead have reported this to the referee's body after the game.

I have always respected the match officials. However that respect should be a two way thing and I don't think it is reasonable for a match official to be able to behave in this way. I apologise for the spectacle that I caused on TV and will learn from this, I just expected better behaviour from an impartial match official.

I am disappointed in receiving a two match touchline ban, especially in light of the fact that I have never been in trouble before for my behaviour towards the match officials and regularly seeing similar or worse behaviour from the staff of other teams not being punished in this same way. I have a history of always respecting the referee and, unlike many other managers, I have never questioned the impartiality of the match officials in interviews, even when decisions have gone against my team. If this is a new standard being applied then I welcome this and look forward to seeing these same standards being applied to all, no matter who the individual or club that they work for.

While accepting my punishment gracefully I would appreciate an explanation from Mr Dean of why he felt it necessary to make his original comments of 'xxxxxxx' that triggered my reaction and clarification from the referees association on whether this is considered to be acceptable behaviour form a match official".

Yes. dean should be banned for life let alone the season.

And I would love it, fudging love it Keegan style as he will end up rueing the fact he never got his century of red cards for the rest of his days.

Our Manager will be allowed in the dressing room before the game and at half time. He will have his cellphone and can call Jesus with any tactical changes he wants making during play. Big fuss over nothing if you ask me. If anything the " injustice" may just fire the players up.. we shall see. The 10k fine I think he can afford. Onwards and upwards.

I agree, mountains out of molehills. Not worth going to war with the FA over this as it would be us that loses.

If we don't have t-shirts made for the players to wear during the warm up I will really begin to question our commitment to becoming a big club.
 
Given Liverpool's penchant for buying new teeth for their managers, I was shocked when their t-shirt-wearing supporters didn't accessorize the look with sets of big wax buck teeth.

I don't think it was rational or thought out by Poch but rather a reaction to what had been a very disappointing result. Tbh he has behaved impeccably since being in England unlike some of the imbecile managers around.
 
Everyone here seems mightily certain that Mike Dean said something. I don't rule it out, and indeed I have speculated myself as to what it could have been, but has anyone stopped to consider that maybe Poch just lost his brick, turned to walk off and then decided that he had to have one last pop?

It's reading like a conspiracy forum here!
