Lloris - 8 - Great saves and claimed crosses well.

Walker - 7 - Good game, wasnt really troubled
Dawson - 4 - Awful
Vertonghen - 6.5 - Very good first half, not the best second.
Naughton - 6 - Wasnt troubled at all, not the best going forward though.

Townsend - 7 - One of our best players in the first half, silly yellow.
Paulinho - 5 - Disappointed, shame we couldnt partner him next to Sandro
Dembele - 7 - Was very good the last 15 minutes.
Sigurdsson - 7 - Good goal

Eriksen - 6 - great for the first 30 minutes
Soldado - 5.5 - not good at all
 
Lloris - 8.5 - Brilliant saves kept us in the game at times had great control over his area.

Walker - 8 - Played very well.
Dawson - 7 - Did decently, but lost Terry for the equaliser.
Vertonghen - 7.5 - Played well, not really troubled.
Naughton - 6 - Still not a left back. Playing him there means our left side has no offensive capabilities.

Townsend - 7.5 - Very direct, made things happen, wonderful decision making.
Paulinho - 6 - Average performance, not great at all really.
Dembele - 7 - Kept the ball, was very physical, put himself about.
Siggy - 7.5 - Great run for the goal, has a decent shot too, gets a bit isolated on his own on the left.

Eriksen - 6.5 - Played nice intricate passes early on, but just didn't get involved after the first 25-30 minutes..
Soldado - 6 - Struggling to see why he cost as much as he did, decent lay off for Siggy, but am not entirely sure he meant it.

We were lucky today!

The entire team around 6-6.5.
Except Dembele, Paulinho and Townsend, they lost too many balls too easy!
In this kind of game we do really need Sandro!

Walker - 7 - Like his passion
Dawson - 6 - Decent
Vertonghen - 6.5 - Good game
Naughton - 5.5 - Looked clumsy on the ball

Paulinho - 6.5 - Dangerous runs in to the box
Dembélé - 7 - Held on to the ball well, good tackling

Townsend - 7 - Always looking to create something
Eriksen - 6.5 - Good first half
Sigurdsson - 7.5 - Worked hard, good goal, unlucky not to win it for us

Soldado - 6 - Worked hard, couple of poor passes, good assist


AVB - 5.5 - Poor substitutions

Soldado 5 Not involved, he should be scoring in these games, big price, we expect better.

Vertonghen - 6 - Torres made an absolute fool of him with one run, and needed to calm the **** down at various points
Naughton - 6 - He had no idea what he was doing once he got past the half way line

Townsend - 7 - great first half and didnt have a single shot on goal
Paulinho - 5 - went missing espcecially in the second half were he was playing too far forward and trying to close down too high up the pitch we ended up overun in the middle
Dembele - 8 - great on the ball, made more passes and dribbles than anyone else on the pitch (both teams)
Siggy - 7 - worked hard closing them down, typical siggy goal

Eriksen - 6 - struggled to find space to move into once the game settled down
Soldado - 6 - not much service but we could have done with him at the end

Eriksen 6 - Excellent work for the goal, took 3 players out of the game with his pass and movement. Faded after that, still shouldn't have been subbed.
Townsend 7 - Very threatening in first half. Poor dive/

AVB 5 - Why take Eriksen off? Where was Sandro? Utterly powerless to stop Chelsea in 2nd half. Very lucky to get a point after playing so well for 35 minutes.

I think you're harsh on Dawson and Verts. Both made several vital last ditch interceptions and were offered very little protection from the midfield.
 
Lol so much negativity we competed well against a very strong opponent it was a fascinating clash between two good teams where we dominated the first half before Chelsea dominated half an hour of the second and then we got on the front foot again for the last 15 or so

Lloris - 9 - some great saves and claims when needed.
Walker - 8 - very good outlet and solid defensively
Dawson - 6 - troubled by the pace and movement of Torres he often gets exposed by his lack of mobility and technique against top opponents but he works hard to make up for it
Vertonghem - 7 - solid and covered well
Naughton - 6 - tried but not his best position
Paulinho - 6 - looked a bit tired which is understandable looked a bit taken aback by the intensity - should have put us 2 or 3 up first half
Dembele - 9 - MOTM - what a monster performance, dominated the midfield Chelsea couldn't deal with him all game
Eriksen - 7 - some sublime touches got us on the front foot first half but Chelsea's pressing 2nd half worked hard to starve him of service which they did very well
Townsend - 7 - a constant threat and really took the game to them at times
Sigurdsson - 7 - scored and showed a good work ethic really justifying why we signed this guy last season now
Soldado - 6 - good movement and helped set up the goal but didn't get the right service all game really

Defoe - 5 - should have scored
Holtby - 6 - tried to make things happen
Chadli - 5 - not involved much

Both did well in the 1st half, but Torres made mugs of them in the 2nd half. I get Vertonghen was ****ed off about Torres not getting a red for the scratch, but he let it get to him.
 
Lloris 8 - brilliant sweeper-keeping kept them out, no chance with their goal

Walker 7 - at it!

Dawson 8 - needed to be a rock anfd that's exactly what he was

Vertonghen 7 - struggled to cope with a Mourinho-hyped Torres but came out on top - just

Naughton 5 - struggled, full stop

Dembele 8 - magnificent performance

Paulinho 7 - less visible that you expect but played his part

Townsend 7 - had the Chelsea defence floundering first half and produced a couple of sublime passes; has doubtless been told to ditch the potshots

Sigurdsson 8 - superb goal plus a couple of decent strikes and critical support both ends

Eriksen 7 - supplied the requisite quality in the move that led to Siggy's strike, faded badly second half

Soldado 6 - quality assist, otherwise not at his sharpest

Subs

Chadli 5 - hardly showed, Lamela would surely have supplied more threat

Holtby 6 - provided extra bite in the middle and supported attacks with intelligent positional play

Defoe 6 - couple of decent attempts

Because he almost totally vanished second half and Holtby is pretty-much like-for-like, ie capable of supplying the critical pass, and his more energetic challenge was desperately needed in the middle to help stem the Chelsea tide
 
Lloris 9 - a couple of vital saves/blocks

Walker 6 - some good, some bad
Dawson 6 - decent 1st half, was terrorised by Torres in the 2nd half
Vertonghen 7 - did well
Naughton 6 - did well enough

Paulinho 6 - largely invivisble, probably should've scored
Dembele 8 - battled well, created some good openings, think he played them onside for the goal though?

Townsend 7.5 - much improved display, used the ball intelligently, passed at the right times, bad dive though
Eriksen 6.5 - started well, faded badly and couldn't get into the game enough
Sigurdsson 7 - worked hard and took his goal well

Soldado 6 - slightly fortunate to get an assist, put another decent ball across the box for Paulinho but again, not involved at all really

Chadli 5.5 - didn't get this sub, didn't add anything to the game and took a stupied shot late on when we had a decent opening
Defoe 6 - worked some space, should've done better with his chance though
Holtby 6 - did ok

AVB - I don't normally rate managers and I'm not going to give him a score but those subs were ... erm .. quite strange. We're getting overrun and he subs our main outlet who was having a good game, bring Sandro on, bring Lamela on, they're sitting right there.
