Match rating thread versus Juve

Some of tbe marking would be justified if we were playing Rochdale.
This was juve, CL finalists twice in three years, at home ffs.
They are a top team that can create something out of nothing.

Hugo 9. Kept us in it between pen save and 2 others just after the break
Serge 6.
Sanchez 7.5. Solid for the most part
Jan 8.5
Davies 8. Unlucky with pen, picked himself up and got on with it.
Dier 8. Apart from 5 mins near the end I thought he was really good
Moose 10. Is there anything left to say about this guy.
Eriksen 9. Exploited the space created by dembelle with his usual guile.
Dele 8.5 worked his arse off and still managed an assist and be a thorn in their side
Lamela 8. Back to his Duracell bunny best. Al ways available, always supporting his defence and always being a pain.
Harry 8.5. Much like Davies, didnt let his disappointment at not burying that header bother him, kept believing, kept going, keeps scoring.

Poch 10. He's laid it all out, that's the plan, that's the way we play and will keep playing. And it' beautiful.

Lloris - 8 - When needed he was there.
Aurier - 5 - Offered good width when pressing them in their half, but roasted by Costa for the pen.
Sanchez 6.5 - Decent game, thought Higuain did well against him to hold up the ball and by pass him at times, but at 21 he will learn from these last 4 games.
Vertonghen 7.5 - Dependable. In my opinion has been our best defender for the last two seasons, he could not do anything for either goals conceded.
Davies - 7 - Would have been higher if not for his lapse of concentration for the pen, but a great reaction to recover.
Dier - 6.5 - Like Sanchez, decent enough but was slightly complacent with some of his distribution, needs to improve in the Wembley return.
DEMBELE- 9.5 - His best performance in a Spurs shirt? Ran the game at his pace, created two decent half chances for Dele and Kane in the first half too.
Lamela - 8 - Industrious, creative when required, we've missed him!
Dele - 8.5 - Industrious, kept his head, assist for Kane and won the FK for Eriksen, massive contribution.
Eriksen - 9 - like Dembele, ran the game and controlled the tempo, always looking forward, clever execution of his FK
Kane - 8.5 - He had a Harry Kane game of football.

I think for a young player developing it is. Losing the ball is the inevitable consequence of trying something and it not coming off. Jermaine Jenas is what happens when a player is scared to try things.

Yeah ok.... But also he needs to learn to release the ball earlier. Try stuff sure. But better Pick and choose when to try stuff.
