Smith has done excellent work so far, and not been there long - Id like to think they would be supportive of him (like Cardiff with Warnock).

However, once the potential for relegation dawns many clubs lose their heads...

He may have a prem or specific prem club clause in there, his stock is pretty high off the back of being a popular manager for an unpopular chairman and he’s a big enough coup for the Chinese league to request it.
