Manager Sack Watch

I know he is well regarded by alot of the young coaches but the guy has never won anything and his CV is not exactly incredible. Maybe this is why Poch could never win anything?
 
So, conceding more goals in a month than some teams have done all season is fine, but shipping 4 goals and losing to Spurs is inexcusable. :p
 
I think it’s fair to say his teams play attractive football and may be the best to watch in general, his Bilbao side in particular were great to watch. But I’ve always found it puzzling when people refer to him as one of the best coaches in the game when he literally only has one way of playing and never wins anything. Even when he managed Argentina they got knocked out in the group stage of the World Cup in a group consisting of England, Sweden and Nigeria, not exactly heavyweights of world football. Give me Pep, Klopp, Poch, Conte, Simeone, Ancelotti, Tuchel or even Graham Potter any day of the week over Bielsa.

I have never understood the hype that surrounds him, especially from the media.
 
Who replaces him
They need a guy with a track record of winning enough games to avoid relegation and has the experience of being in that situation

Exactly my thoughts too. If anyone deserved a chance to see the season out and rebuild a team from the championship. I don’t see Burnley reaching these levels again, let alone for so long.

I wonder if something has happened behind the scenes. I can’t get over the stupidity of the decision but the timing also seems odd. I would have thought if they were going to do it, last Sunday was the time. Two days before their next game, with no replacement announced, seems haphazard especially given that every single game matters hugely to them.
 
Thinking about comparisons with Poch, punching above a teams budget, the relative longevity and loyalty when linked with bigger jobs, the difference here is a relegation battle should still not be below expectations for them (including losing Wood to a team they were competing with)

He’s usually quite honest so sure we’ll find out, maybe there was a disagreement but you’d have thought that would be shelved until next season. The statement just reeks of rolling the dice for a new manager bounce. Who do they realistically get though?
I’d have thought any chance of players staying on in the championship would be due to him being there too.
