Sounds like AVB desperately wanted out anyway, so this signing of a new player was his perfect excuse. The place is in turmoil and the fans were smashing up the training ground and attacking officials... so the millionaire AVB said "I'm a celebrity, get me out of here!"
 
I think the only thing stopping Jose being the out and out favourite in the sack race is the massive pay out Levy would have to give him to get rid of him. Even if it ends up happening this summer it will probably use up about about a third of our transfer budget.
