I think Slot was handed a tough job. Last season was the embers of Klopp's team, he knew that Salah and VDV were waning, TAA left, Roberston is average and older now, then they go and flog Diaz against his wishes...Salah was falling out with Klopp too by the end. Toss pot. I know they spent money but its a lot to assimilate all at once. Their defence is cack. I will be furious if we do not go for them when they come here...

The expectations after being champions and then adding all those players has certainly made life very difficult for him, especially when you see how much surgery that squad really needs.
You can see why klopp left.

I have always thought Salah was conceited (like most here I suspect) however this is appalling.

I still think the way he celebrated that bent pen in June 2019 was classless. The prick...I'd best stop...nurse, NUUURRRSSEEE, IT'S THE MADRID NIGHTMARE AGAAAAIIN...

You're forgetting Jota died, we've never won the league since John White's death.

I knew there had to be a reason.


As for Tumble Mo, it's always been about him. He was part of a great front three because Mane and Firminho were team players and made a complementary unit. We might also need to reevaluate TAA contributions to Salah's success.

Salah was due to be off to the ANC soon, so the tantrums may benefit Liverpool if it means they can move him on for decent money. You'd think Salah's focus would be on that tournament and winning it for his country.

I must confess to enjoying the 2021 ANC final when Mane scored the winning penalty while the humble one was waiting to take the winning penalty next. It was Ronaldo level team play.
 
What a massive prick! Mt.Everest leveles of ego! I've never liked him, as I thought he would be like that, but everyone said he's such a nice guy.
Turns out I was right all along.
Hope they keep him so he can really make it sour in the dressing room!
 
Weird thing for him to come out with publicly but it feels like we don't have all of the information here. I also wouldn't dare play down the affect Jota's death had on the squad as a whole or any individuals.
 
I can’t believe what Salah has done. The interview is astonishingly self centred and deluded.

One thing does strike me though. Last season, you had a hell of a lot of people who would consider themselves “football people” saying that Liverpool should give Salah whatever he wanted to stay and slating the business people for dragging it out. It’s a good example of why people who consider themselves “football people” are a bit deluded.

No disrespect to jota or his family may he rest in peace. That excuse only seems applicable to Liverpool players know one from other clubs he has played for seem to be using jota as an excuse.
