I hate this so much...

Meant to be picked up at 12.45pm, 45 mins late and my mate just texts to say he will be 1.45pm

Considering he didnt go out lastnight or had anything to do this morning how can you be an hour late on such a big day for Spurs and its another reason why Id rather drive to games

Does my head in, he will be late for his own funeral !!!

Hope he isnt too late for you. Have to admit I'm not a big fan of relying on others myself either. If I am giving lifts to people I make sure I'm on time

I hate lateness, I always see it as a lack of respect regardless of the occasion.

Really is annoying isn't it, just downright rude. I can forgive it if the person is genuinely really apologetic and it is a one off, but there are certain people who do it all the time and don't seem to care, if anything find it quite funny in a 'oh dopey old me, look I've only gone and been late again eh?' kind of way. They REALLY annoy me

I hate lateness. Nobody i seem to know understands. Girlfriend drives me up the wall at times.

I tell her we need to leave, she says it'll be fine and we'll make it if we leave in five minutes, we leave in five minutes and we end up being late.

fudging does my head in.

Some people are horrible at time management, others just genuinely don't give a brick.

I met my mate at the cinema, he lives less than 5 minutes drive from the cinema, but that doesn't stop him being 20 minutes late every time. So basically, he leaves 15 minutes AFTER the time he was supposed to be there.

Anyone else notice that a lot of late people blame everything but themselves?

Christ, you're not going out with my wife, are you?

If we have to be somewhere, she always manages to leave at the time we are supposed to arrive. Thus, always arrives late.
She genuinely believes she can be somewhere that is a 15 minute drive away in less than 5.

I dont like lack of punctuality. I am punctual myself, I guess because my work involves me having many client meetings so its had an impact on how punctual I am outside of work too.

If I have a client meeting and they dont turn up within 10 mins im off - dont care who you are and why youre late. This is providing you havent told me you will be late.

If im meeting mates etc, if they dont tell me they will be late then ill be furious and will, in a calm manner, beat the fudge out of em.

Oh another thing, discussed this with a mate - mobile phones - have given people th eexcuse of being late.

In the olden days when we had no mobile phones people were more punctual. As, as soon as you left your home, you were relying on punctuality to meet up etc as there was no way of communicating. So if people were gonna be late they would HAVE to call you before you left your home etc.

When going football like a 5-a-side or something it's very annoying, especially as at times it's just an hours session and you want to get there early, pay and get on the pitch.

"I'm round the corner.."

when really, they haven't even left yet.

My in-laws [-( Every blooming time, never a proper apology, just expect everyone to forgive them. I just tell them to arrive an hour earlier than I want them , that way. they may turn up on time

Rude!

Chronic lateness is a way of saying that my time is more important than yours-it's okay for you to stand around not knowing when or if I'll turn up as long as I achieve what I want at a time that suits me.

While we're getting things of our chests, I also hate when you lend/someone takes something without asking, and they don't return it. My family are forever taking things out of my room and not returning them. Borrow as many things as you like, just fudging give it back to me!
