Very 80s

Last week I saw some dingdonghead at Gatwick wearing an 80s "Crown Paints" Liverpool shirt. Must have been worn about 30 x 365 times since then. It looked grrrrrrrrreat.
 
Why is it the mainly the British who wear replica kits on holiday? rarely see Dutch, Germans or others doing it. I went on a cruise about 5 years ago and a bloke wore a Saudi Sportswashing Machine shirt every day for a fortnight.
