He’s the best backup CB we’ve had that I can remember. He had a high profile bad moment in his first pre-season game back after 3 weeks out and we’re ready to write him off

He may not be a natural fit for RDZ-ball but he was instrumental in helping us stay up and a few pages back we were praising him and saying he’s a 35-40mil player if we sold him. Hes an average passer of the ball for his position, a very good defender and someone who is ok with being a squad player.

We’re lucky to have him.

Never mind in 6 or 7 years most people will have forgotten about the error in a pointless friendly.

He may not be the best on the ball but you won’t find a better defender to come on and help you hang on to a lead. He will block and get his head on absolutely everything.

He seems to me the natural replacement for Ben Davies’ role at the club. On and off the pitch. Won’t be first choice but won’t kick up a stink and seems well liked a respected amongst the squad

I guess the question becomes how he reacts if Spence, Robbo and Senesi are performing bench duties and he's not part of the 20 man squad. We can only pick 9 subs, and you wouldn't take 5 of those slots for the backup GK and 4 defenders if you're a front foot team. You would refresh the engine room and forward line right?

Obviously, with our recent injury history this scenario hasn't really been in play. Doesn't mean it won't be this coming season though.

I guess it might be an assumption on our part that Kevin will be happy as a bit part player. That might not be true actually.
