90sSpursBook

nowhere near as bad as being a Emirates Marketing Project fan in the 90's when United were winning everything, someone even wrote a book about it ........
I've read that book and totally empathise with City fans...even when they won the league for the last time (pre Sheikh) in 1968 it was totally overshadowed by United winning the European Cup the following week. There's definitely a lot of similarities between us and City in terms of history, success and long suffering fans amidst a local neighbour.
However city's despair in the 90s - no tangible success and two relegations were largely self inflicted and not really suffered at uniteds hands....ultimately they've had the last (most recent) laugh though winning the league with the Aguero goal in 2012; beating united in the fa cup sf in 2011 en route to winning their first trophy since 1968 and even depriving Man U of the 4th champions league spot this season.
Would be worth the wait if we did the same to chavs and woolwich in 20 years time?
