Agreed.I have said it before and i am still of the same opinion about Son, he can be frustrating at times but he is a special player in a lot of ways. I believe that there are occasions when his feet move faster then his brain and that is when we see him lose control of just what he is doing.
The concern for me is that we have (and will hopefully have) a lot of players that are very good at taking advantage of space of they get the right service. Son, Moura, Alli, Bale, Kane, Bergwijn.
Finding them in space, moving the ball quickly and with purpose, sharp accurate passing, that has to come from elsewhere. Kane is quite good at that, but his impact in that regard is limited since he's a striker. Bergwijn shows signs of being better than some of the others, but still early days. I don't think Bale is the solution for that at all.
Hojbjerg for me is an upgrade in that regard, but not one who will change that on his own. We must get the central midfielders and defenders doing that job. Hopefully Doherty and Reguilon can provide an improvement. Lo Celso and Ndombele have it in them to make the real difference.
