Dier is unfit and will need time to get up to speed. All I know is Dier is making me look like an idiot for predicting he'd come back in the fore and smash it this season so rather than making a prediction I'm just going to sulk about it..
Dier is unfit and will need time to get up to speed.
Thank GHod a post that is showing sense, laughable that some may be writing the strengths that Dier would add to our game WHEN FIT which he needs games to show.
Lucky we’ve got the Carabao Cup for that...
The point is that the rot we're in isn't a formation issue!! Ffs how hard is that to understand? And when players down tools like that is it fair to judge any formation?

The style of play is the issue
- the FBs overcommit and are not threatening enough anyway, they need to focus more on defending.
- Midfield is too narrow and too easily bypassed (always a risk with any kind of pressing side)
This team needs to go back to basics, play fudging simple and leverage the quality of front line to win games
Its management basics, isnt it?
Team is really struggling - go back to fundamentals - build from there.
Usually it means stop conceding goals, first and foremost, and then develop from that platform.
Its what every manager does going into a club, literally the first job. And its exactly what will happen with us if Poch were to be replaced.
Just play 4-2-3-1 and we won't need a dedicated DM.
Wouldn't you both agree that's what Poch did vs Brighton? 4-2-3-1, Dier back in to shield defence, Aurier out because he's been playing like brick.
It is, but as discussed elsewhere - the issues with the Brighton game were not structural, but to do with the players simply not making any effort at all.
Sure, but yours and Raziel's posts were insinuating that Poch wasn't already doing what you were suggesting.
That would be basically the first time, IMO - potentially too little too late
