Injuries

Which 3 do you think will be back quickly?

Well Johnson was just illness so he'd be one.

VDV was tightness apparently and to be expected in his recovery. We won't see him Thurs would be my guess, but he'll be playing against Saints alongside Dragusin.

I'm also thinking Moore must be about ready. He's been out for a month now. Ange was pretty cryptic about this one though. He'd only be on the bench though.

Then we have the Bents / Biss scenario. Both available Thursday. Both unavailable at the weekend. Then we're back to just Bissouma, who would have had a rest.

Last I heard on Moore was end of the month/early Jan?

OK, it sounded like a private matter that was between the club and the family. Not sure whether it was physical or mental but am pleased to see the club doing the right thing by him.

Of course I missed Yang above. He'll be training with the club very soon and be available in Jan I guess. Not sure how much we'll see of him though.

Does Yang get a work permit… surely that takes time

I'm guessing he will, but wouldn't know why that's not in motion already.

The game I'm thinking about for him is actually Tamworth. I would doubt he'd be that active in other games.
He hasn’t played any international games yet so wouldn’t qualify automatically as far as I can tell
I’m not an expert at all on that though

A lot of the July article said "subject to work permit and international clearance". Surely those 2 items would have been applied for in the last 6 months?

Can’t apply if he isn’t even our player or employee and that can’t happen until the jan window opens and we can officially transfer him in

He's our employee once the Korean season ended (different from being registered), he's expected to be here and training
Not sure how it works with other players but technically he's pretty much like a free agent, so should be able to be registered pre January
With Udogie, Bergvall, etc. we clearly know how to get work permits for youth players who aren't yet representing their full national teams.

But we can’t employ him without a work permit
Your talking about EU players above by the way
This is what happens post Brexit

I'm guessing last year's review basically said that things would calm down when the player's bodies have got used to the new training regime and tactical system on match day. Now we're noticing it hasn't and the injury list is not under control. Now the club is worried that they didn't identify the root cause correctly after last year's review.

Yeah. Hopefully they can sort it this time and get a fit, full squad Ange can pick from.

Whats happen if the review shows that Ange was picking players constantly in the red zone, while other rested youngsters were on the bench? Then it comes down to the obvious discussion of whether Ange feels he needs better players or someone being brave enough to tell him that he has to use the squad he has

So from Ange today

Moore could be back for Liverpool
Davies, Forest
Richy Saudi Sportswashing Machine
VDV/Romero FA Cup weekend

Promising

You have to see the funny side of VDV and Romero being available for Tamworth away.

I'd select Dorrington over the pair of them :)
