Injuries and suspension 21/22

Can they fake injuries and illness or do they have to officially declare any covid cases to the PL?
 
You have to assume Emerson and Gil who missed Norwich with "illness" are 2 of the 6.
We will know on wednesday.
Uefa make the home club do an open media training session the day before Europa.
We will see who is missing training.
 
Maybe it's a smokescreen so we can legitimately play a bunch of kids on Thursday and go out of the cup
 
Assuming this is true. Don't think Gold would report this without solid sources.

Get well to all the players involved. This is an obvious bummer for us as a club, but my thoughts are mostly with the players who have tested positive.

This exact thing happened a few weeks ago (about Son and someone else), a turned out to be complete gonads.

I wasnt completely untrue though was it? They failed a lateral flow test but passed a follow-up PCR.

If the names are right, we can field a patched up defence, but the forward line will be a bit ropey
 
Front 3 of GLC-Kane-Bergijn for the next 3 games then, or perhaps Conte moves to 3-5-2 with Kane and Bergwijn up top
 
What are the rules for isolating now?

Hopefully it's omicron and they'll be fine in a couple of days.

Self isolate for 10 days. I believe day 0 is the date of the +ve PCR test so if thats today then they're out of Rennes, Brighton and Leicester

Need to hope that a couple PCR tests are -ve (by law of averages 1 or 2 should be)....and you'd have hoped that Emerson and Gil took tests at the end of last week when they became ill

Fingers crossed for the team and the players.

This kind of situation is rigged for speculation and we'd all want answers quickly. Will probably take some time though before we actually know what's up. (not aiming that as a criticism of you at all).

Thanks. If omicron is as contagious as it seems, think a few more clubs may be effected in the coming weeks.
