Ingerlund

I am so torn between disappointment, frustration and anger.
I think the latter has won out. We just threw our lead away when we might have been able to score a 2nd.
What started off as a great afternoon, brilliant atmosphere in the stadium, loads of optimism, was gone in the click of a finger. No way were we getting an equaliser for extra time.
Out of another tournament with a lacklustre performance (second half anyway and certainly after the subs).
Trying to decide whether to head to Miami for the totally pointless 3rd place game which we will most likely lose anyway - but not paying over a grand for a ticket for a game neither team want to play.

Being there in Dallas for the opening game against Croatia. The win with 10 men against Mexico. Kane and Bellingham cementing themselves as true legends of English football. The Djed Spence redemption arc, which even surprised me. The post-match Wonderwall celebrations. The first World Cup my daughter will remember. The first World Cup with my son. It's been an amazing journey,

But there is nothing quite like winning and the way we lost today being the hardest part to take. We went 1-0 up again, just like we did against Croatia and Italy, then sat back and invited pressure.

That's exactly what this manager was supposed to change. A team that's meant to be lethal on the counterattack is playing with four centre-backs and no wingers.

That's simply not good enough under any circumstances, especially against a bang-average Argentina side. Surrendering territory to them should be the antithesis of being British and that's ultimately why Tuchel is the wrong man for the job.
