I hate opening the door

Do you just hang round the door to dorothy perkins holding it open for everyone that passes like a doorman?

Dorothy Perkins?

More like the charity for the blind shops - easier women

Although New Look is better.

I hate holding the door open for people and getting no response whatsoever.

similar thing, but there are 2 pricks that sit near me at Spurs who get up and walk past us just before kick off, 5 mins before half time, and 5 mins after half time and never ever say excuse me or thanks. So everytime they walk past not in th last few games Ive said "yeh no worries".... really fcuks me off.

I think there have been studies - at which point is it not rude to not keep the door open? five feet? 10 feet? 20 feet?

I opened the door for a girl once... she overtook me (I let her I am a pervert I wanted to see her butt) and she didnt fudgein hold the door for me on the other side. What a bitch

haha brilliant. the thing is if you hold it open for someone who is 20 feet away they have to run so you are pi55ing them off a bit I guess. A running woman though.... booobs!!!

I've definitely become less tolerant of bad manners. I used to laugh it off but now get fudging annoyed. Road rage too.

Whilst talking about take aways. Are all the fish and chip shops suddenly all gone toss.. have all the normal owners all sold up (threatened more like) to foreigners, with no clue how to do great fish and fudging chips.

Its a fudging travesty.

Had this nice couple do my fish and chips for the last 15 years, went in there yesterday. 5 turks behind the counter weilding cleavers looking busy. One spoke English.. didn't know what crackly bits were and when I got home the chips were dreadful and the whole thing tasted like it had been cooked in 3 year old oil, whilst the fish was so overcooked it was able to stand up

qunts

Totally agree on this. Its so hard now to find a decent chip shop, when you do its like finding gold dust. So many Chips shops now sell old Chips and cold fish etc, i think its so they can always have it there on demand and get people on quickly.

I moved to a new part of where i live and there is a chippy there and he is more old school, if he runs out of chips as he has done a smaller batch then you have to wait. same with the Fish etc, but its so much better for it. It means the chips and Fish are always recentley cooked and they are much better for it.

I also love Pie and mash, so glad i live near to one of the original ones that is still going. Its dying out big time in London.

Speaking of chip shops, my local has absolutely no order about the queue. Worst thing is, the amateur customers will make their order and continue to stand at the counter. So when you walk in you have to ask the whole shop if they have been served yet, else you be rude and cut in. Me, I move to the counter, order, then move aside to the seated waiting area. Not fudging hard is it?

Then my lunch bar, has a nice orderly queue, no dramas. Except when you get a group of usually tradies walk straight up to the counter and wait, and the silly bits behind the counter serve them straight away.

The chippie near me is fudging fantastic

They normally do chips on demand, and they're worth the wait

He always offers one, before they're wrapped, so you can try it

It takes the skin off the roof of your mouth, but they're so fresh

So cheap too. Only a few quid for a battered fish and large chips

i have a sign on my door that says

" No Canvassers i have nothing against you but my dog will bite your arse"

I've definitely become less tolerant of bad manners. I used to laugh it off but now get fudging annoyed. Road rage too.

I always pull people who ignore you holding the door for them, young or old, male or female, I remind them of their manners.

Not sure if you mean road rage annoys you or you indulge in it. I indulge in it if I'm in my own motor, I refrain if I'm in my company marked van. Which begs the question if you can refrain in your company van then why can't you in your own car? Truth? Nobody should lose their temper or control, especially when behind the wheel of a vehicle, but because I have to stifle my response to some awful driving when I'm in my van I doubly enjoy the freedom to tell another driver how brick he is when I'm in my own car. Road rage? No, not really, robust criticism? Yeah, I give it, and I'll take it when I've fudged up, I have no problem with mouthing a sorry or apologising to another driver if I've made a mistake.

If I hold the door for someone and they ignore me I just pointedly say "thank-you". Most people get the message although some are confused.
